  1. That the ridings known as Lake Karapiro No. 1 and 2
    be amalgamated and named Lake Karapiro riding.
  2. That the new ridings will come into effect for the purpose
    of the triennial elections to be held in October 1977.

We hereby certify that the above Special Order was passed
at an ordinary meeting of the Matamata County Council,
held on the 19th day of April 1977, and was confirmed at
an ordinary meeting of the council held on the 17th day of
May 1977.

SCHEDULE

WAHAROA RIDING

All that area in the South Auckland Land District,
Matamata County, bounded by a line commencing at the
northern-most corner of part Lot 1, D.P. S. 5306, situated
in Block X, Wairere Survey District, and proceeding southerly
along the eastern boundary of that lot, the eastern boundaries
of Lot 2, D.P. S. 5306, and part Lot 4, D.P. 22602, and the
production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of
Mowbray Road; thence westerly along the middle of that
road to the middle of Troughton Road; thence southerly
along the middle of that road to a point in line with the
north-eastern boundary of part Lot 30, D.P. 8107; thence
south-easterly to and along that boundary to the south-
eastern corner of the said part Lot 30; thence generally
south-westerly along the northern and western boundaries of
Lot 1, D.P. S. 6635, to the middle of Pohlen Road; thence
westerly along that middle and its production across Waharoa
East Road to the middle of the Kinleith Branch Railway;
thence southerly along the middle of that railway to the
northern boundary of the Matamata Borough as described in
New Zealand Gazette, 1977, page 278; thence generally westerly
and generally south-easterly along that borough boundary to
the Waitoa Stream to and westerly along the south-western
boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 20594, to the south-western
corner of the said Lot 1; thence generally northerly along
the western boundary of that lot to a point in line with the
north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 12602; thence south-
westerly to and along that boundary and its production to
the middle of the Mangapapa River being a point on the
generally north-western boundary of the Matamata County
as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1977, page 278; thence
generally north-easterly along that boundary to a point in line
with the eastern boundary of Part Lot 1, D.P. S. 5306,
aforesaid; thence southerly to the point of commencement.

MATAMATA RIDING

All that area in the South Auckland Land District,
Matamata County, bounded by a line commencing at a point
on the generally northern boundary of the Matamata County,
as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1977, page 278, in
line with the eastern boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. S. 5306,
situated in Block X, Wairere Survey District, and proceeding
generally easterly and generally southerly along that county
boundary to the south-eastern corner of part Okauia 1 Block;
thence westerly along the southern boundaries of the said
Part 1 and Okauia 4B and part 4A4 Blocks to the north-
eastern corner of Lot 15, D.P. 6606; thence southerly along
the western boundary of that Lot 15 to the north-eastern
corner of Lot 18, D.P. 6606; thence westerly along the
northern boundary of the said Lot 18 and its production to
the middle of the Old Te Aroha Road; thence generally
northerly along the middle of that road to a point in line
with the northern boundary of part Lot 3, D.P. 6729; thence
generally westerly to and along that boundary and its pro-
duction to the middle of the Waihou River; thence generally
south-westerly up the middle of that river to a point in line
with the south-western boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 18847, in
Block X, Tapapa Survey District; thence north-westerly to
and along that boundary, a right line across Taihoa Road,
the south-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 18847, and its
production to the middle of Mangawhero Stream; thence
generally north-easterly down the middle of that stream to
a point in line with the south-western boundary of part
Lot 2, D.P. 12506; thence north-westerly to and along that
boundary to the generally south-eastern boundary of the
Matamata Borough as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1977,
page 278; thence generally north-easterly, north-westerly, and
westerly along that borough boundary to a point on the generally
eastern boundary of Waharoa riding hereinbefore described; thence
generally northerly along that riding boundary to the point
of commencement.

HINUERA RIDING

All that area in the South Auckland Land District,
Matamata County, bounded by a line commencing at the
northern-most corner of Lot 1, D.P. S. 16566, situated in Block
VIII, Cambridge Survey District, being a point on the generally
north-western boundary of Matamata County as described in
New Zealand Gazette, 1977, page 278, and proceeding generally
north-easterly along that county boundary to and along the
generally southern boundary of Waharoa Riding hereinbefore
described to and generally easterly along the southern boundary
of Matamata Borough as described in New Zealand Gazette,
1977, page 278, to and generally southerly along the generally
western boundary of Matamata Riding hereinbefore described
to a point in the middle of the Waihou River in line with
the south-western boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 18847; thence
generally south-westerly up the middle of that river and the
middle of the Oraka Stream to a point in line with the south-
western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 12824; thence north-westerly
to and along that boundary and its production to the middle
of State Highway 27; thence northerly to and along that
boundary and the eastern side of the Kinleith Branch Railway
to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 4,
D.P. 14755; thence generally south-easterly to and along the
boundary the north-western boundary of that lot, the south-
eastern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 34586, the south-eastern and
south-western boundaries of part Lot 3, D.P. 34586, to the
eastern corner of Mangawhara 1B2B3 Block in Block IX,
Tapapa Survey District; thence south-westerly and north-
of that block and the last-mentioned boundary produced to
the middle of Nicholson Road; thence generally south-
westerly along the middle of that road to the middle of
Totman Road; thence south-easterly along the middle of that
road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of
Lot 2, D.P. 34889; thence south-westerly to and along that
boundary and the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1,
D.P. 34889, to and north-westerly along the south-western
boundaries of the said Lot 1 and part Lot 10, D.P. 3077, to
the western corner of the said part Lot 10; thence generally
westerly along the north-western boundaries of part Lot 11,
D.P. 3076, the northern and western boundaries of Hinuera
1E Block, the generally southern boundary of Lot 3,
D.P. 13810, and its production to the middle of State High-
way 29; thence southerly along the middle of that highway
to and generally south-westerly along the middle of State
Highway 1 to a point in line with the western boundary of
Matamata Settlement in Block XVI Cambridge Survey Dis-
trict; thence generally northerly to and along that boundary
to the easternmost corner of Lot 6, D.P. 7203; thence north-
easterly along the north-eastern boundary of the aforesaid,
the north-eastern boundary of part Lot 5, D.P. 7840, the northern
boundary of part Lot 4, D.P. 7840, and the last-mentioned
boundary produced to the middle of Buckland Road; thence
generally northerly along the middle of that road to a point
in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 27787;
thence generally north-westerly and north-easterly to and
along that boundary and the north-western boundaries of that
lot to its northern corner; thence northerly along the western
boundary of Lot 9A, D.P. 2757, to a point in line with the
south-eastern boundary of part Lot 42, D.P. 2756; thence
north-easterly to and along that boundary to the point of
commencement.

TE POI RIDING

All that area in the South Auckland Land District, Matamata
County, bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern
corner of part Lot 1, D.P. 7148, situated in Block IV, Tapapa
Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Matamata
County as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1977, page 278
and proceeding south-westerly and south-easterly along that
County boundary to the northern corner of Paengaroa No. 1
Block in Block VIII, Tapapa East Survey District; thence
generally southerly along the generally western boundary of
the said Paengaroa 1 Block, to its intersection with the southern
boundary of Block V, Tapapa East Survey District; thence
