The above Schedule relates to land lying between Waimea
Terrace and Fisher Avenue which was originally part of the
old bed of the Heathcote River.

Classification Under Soil Conservation and Rivers Control
Act 1941 of Land in the Southland Catchment District

NOTICE is hereby given that the land in the part of the
Southland Catchment District described in the Schedule
hereto has been classified under the Soil Conservation and
Rivers Control Act 1941, and the classification is deemed a
valid classification as from the date on which this notice
is first published, namely 17 August 1977.

DEFINITION OF THE MATAURA CATCHMENT RATING DISTRICT

ALL the lands within the Southland Catchment District shown
edged in red on Classification Plan marked Mataura Catch-
ment Rating District adopted by resolution of the board on
12 August 1977 and signed by the chairman of the board and
the classifier, deposited for inspection during office hours at
the offices of the Southland Catchment Board, 143 Spey
Street, Invercargill.

SPECIAL ORDER

Altering the Number of Members for the Various Wards

THAT in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Muni-
cipal Corporations Act 1954, the Manukau City Council
hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:

1. To alter the number of members for the various wards
   so that the ward representation shall be as follows:

Manurewa Ward: 5 members
Mangere Ward: 5 members
Pakuranga Ward: 6 members
Otara Ward: 4 members
Clevedon Ward: 1 member

21 members

2. The foregoing alterations shall come into force at the
   next triennial general election of the council, to be
   held on the 8th day of October 1977, except in so
   far and to such extent as may be necessary for
   providing for that election.

The foregoing resolution was duly made by the Manukau
City Council by way of special order.

(a) Passed at an ordinary meeting of the said council, held
on the 12th day of July 1977.

(b) Confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the said council,
held on the 9th day of August 1977.

(c) Ordered at the last-mentioned meeting to come into
force at the next triennial general election of the
council, to be held on the 8th day of October
1977, except in so far and to such extent as may
be necessary for providing for that election.

The Common Seal of the body corporate called the Mayor,
Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Manukau was

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Kairanga
County Council held on Wednesday, 29 June 1977, the
following resolution was passed:

That, the special order passed by the Kairanga County on
19 January 1932, appointing managing ratepayers of the
Fitzherbert West Water Race District, and amended by
resolution of the council on 12 October 1937, 9 October
1944, 10 May 1949, 10 March 1953, 11 May 1954, 28
February 1961, 8 March 1962, 11 August 1964, 13 August
1968, 26 May 1970, and 30 July 1974, be further amended
on account of a vacancy occuring on the committee by
the resignation of John Eric Hight, by the appointment
thereon of Walter John Lauridsen, as his successor, the
members of the said Committee being now as hereunder:
