CITY OF ROTORUA

SPECIAL ORDER ALTERING TOTAL NUMBER OF COUNCILLORS
FROM TWELVE TO FIFTEEN

That in exercise of the powers conferred upon council by
the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and, in particular, section
53 (2) of the said Act, and all other powers in that behalf
enabling it, the Rotorua City Council hereby resolves so that
this resolution may be confirmed at a subsequent meeting of
the council, and operate as a special order, namely that the
total number of councillors be altered from twelve (12) to
fifteen (15).

The above resolution, by way of special order, was passed
at an ordinary meeting of the Rotorua City Council, con-
vened for the purpose, on Monday, 16 May 1977, and con-
firmed at a subsequent meeting of the said council held on
Monday, 20 June 1977.

This notice is gazetted pursuant to section 53 (2) of the
Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

KAIKOURA COUNTY COUNCIL

RIDING BOUNDARY ALTERATIONS

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 of the
Counties Act 1956 the Kaikoura County Council resolves, by
way of Special Order, the alteration of the Town and Suburban
Ridings.

The alteration hereby made shall take effect on and after
the 8th day of October 1977.

SUBURBAN RIDING

Altered Suburban Riding

All that area in the Marlborough Land District, County of
Kaikoura, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of
the sea coast and the middle-line of the Kowhai River in Block
XI, Mt Fyffe Survey District, and proceeding generally north-
westcrly and north-easterly along the middle line of the Kowhai
River to a point in Block XIII, Mt Fyffe Survey District,
bearing approximately 154° from Trig Snowflake; thence along
a bearing of approximately 334° for a distance of approximately
4970 metres; thence along a bearing of approximately 47° for
a distance of approximately 70 metres; thence along a bearing
of approximately 325° for a distance of approximately 400
metres to Trig Snowflake on the summit of the Seaward
Kaikoura Range in Block IX, Greenburn Survey District;
thence generally north-easterly along the south-eastern bound-
ary of Run 231 to Trig V (Manakau) on the summit of the
said range in Block XIII, Kaitarau Survey District; thence
southerly and south-easterly along the western and south-
western boundaries of S.G.R. 102 B and the production of
