further authorising the following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as D.B. Grosvenor Hotel, Timaru:
(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve, nor days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be as usual 11 o'clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o'clock in the evening.
(b) On every Christmas Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o'clock in the morning and the hour of closing 11 o'clock in the evening.
(c) On every New Year's Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o'clock in the morning of New Year's Eve and the hour of closing 0.30 o'clock in the morning of New Year's Day.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—South Canterbury Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the South Canterbury Licensing Committee on 3 June 1977 revoked an order, made on 9 December 1976, and notified in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 129, of 22 December 1976, at page 2946, and made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as D.B. Lake Aviemore Hotel at Otematata:
(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve, nor days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o'clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o'clock in the evening.
(b) On every Friday, Saturday, and Christmas Eve (not being New Year's Eve nor days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o'clock in the morning and the hour of closing 11 o'clock in the evening.
(c) On every New Year's Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o'clock in the morning of New Year's Eve and the hour of closing 0.30 o'clock in the morning of New Year's Day.

Exemption for Certain Passenger Service Vehicles from Requirements to have Lights Fitted on Cab Roof

PURSUANT to regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts the vehicles specified in the Schedule hereto from the requirements of regulation 64 (2), namely, to have fitted 4 forward-facing, evenly spaced lamps which, when lit, display lights substantially amber in colour.

SCHEDULE
PASSENGER Service Vehicles used exclusively on Urban routes as defined in the Transport (Urban Passenger Services) Regulations 1973.

Exemption from Three Point Lap and Diagonal Seat Belts for Certain Motor Vehicles

PURSUANT to regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts those vehicles specified in the Schedule hereto from compliance with regulation 78 (1) which requires the fitting of three point lap and diagonal seat belts provided the said vehicles are fitted with approved two point lap belts for the use of the driver and the use of a passenger occupying the front seat of the vehicle.

SCHEDULE
ALL motor vehicles of the type which have a removable hard-top or soft-top canopy and supporting framework and where:
(a) The permanent structure of the vehicle terminates at a height of not more than 600 millimetres above the top of each front seat, measured from a point 150 millimetres forward of the lowest part of the back cushion; and
(b) Where the manufacturer does not make provision for the fitting of an upper torso restraint.

Exemption for Certain Heavy Motor Vehicles from Requirements to Have Lights Fitted on Cab Roof

PURSUANT to regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts those motor vehicles specified in the Schedule hereto from the requirements of regulation 64 (2), where the manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating exceeds 11,300 kilograms, provided the vehicle does not exceed 9.2 metres in length.

SCHEDULE
ANY motor vehicle which is designed principally for the carriage of ready-mixed concrete and which operates predominantly within 50-kilometre-per-hour speed limit zones.

Declaring Additional Maori Freehold Land to be Included in a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be included in the existing Maori reservation known as Tauhara Middle Part 4A2A, constituted by notice, dated 5 May 1971, and published in New Zealand Gazette, No. 34, 13 May 1971, p. 913.
