LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMISSION

AORANGI REGION: PROVISIONAL SCHEME

The Local Government Commission has prepared a provisional scheme constituting the Aorangi region. Copies of the provisional scheme and an explanatory statement are available for inspection at this office and the offices of the following local authorities: Timaru City Council, Timaru; Strathallan County Council, Timaru; Ashburton Borough Council, Ashburton; Ashburton County Council, Ashburton; Waimate Borough Council, Waimate; Waimate County Council, Waimate; Oamaru Borough Council, Oamaru; Waitaki County Council, Oamaru; Temuka Borough Council, Temuka; Mackenzie County Council, and Fairlie and Geraldine Borough Council, Geraldine. Copies of the scheme can be purchased from the Government bookshop.

Any person or body interested has a right of objection to the provisional scheme and may give notice in writing to the commission of the objection and of the grounds of that objection on or before 31 August 1977.

The commission’s office is situated on the Second Floor, Law Society Building, 26-28 Waring Taylor Street, Wellington, and the commission’s postal address is Private Bag, Wellington.
