Roads to a line aligned between the westernmost corner of Rural Section 2206 and the south-eastern corner of Rural Section 36831, being a point on the generally southern boundary of the Yaldhurst riding hereinbefore described; thence easterly generally along that boundary and southerly generally along the western boundary of the Hornby riding hereinbefore described to the middle of Shands Road; thence south-westerly along that middle line to the point of commencement.

HALSWELL COUNTY TOWN RIDING

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, County of Paparua, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the middle lines of Dunbars and Halswell Roads, and proceeding southerly generally along the middle of Halswell Road to the middle of Sparks Road; thence easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 8, D.P. 17263; thence southerly to and along that boundary and westerly along the southern boundary of that lot and Lot 3, D.P. 17263, to a point 60 metres east of the eastern side of Kennedys Bush Road; thence southerly along a line parallel to and 60 metres east of that roadside to a point in line with the middle of Glovers Road; thence westerly generally to and along the middle of that road, Halswell Road, and Candys Road to the middle of Nottingham Stream; thence north-easterly along the middle of that stream to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 17, D.P. 17266; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of Sabys Road; thence north-easterly along the middle of that road and north-westerly along the middle of Quaifes Road to a point 160 metres west of the western side of Sabys Road; thence easterly along a right line at right angles to Quaifes Road a distance of 70 metres; thence south-easterly along a line parallel to and 60 metres north of the southern side of Quaifes Road, north-easterly along a line parallel to and 60 metres west of the western side of Sabys Road, and north-westerly along a line parallel to and 60 metres south of the southern side of Halswell Junction Road to the western boundary of Rural Section 1033; thence north-easterly along that boundary and its production to the middle of Halswell Junction Road; thence north-westerly along that middle line to a point 375 metres south-east of the intersection of that middle line and the middle line of Wigram Road; thence northerly along a right line to a point on the middle line of Dunbars Road, 130 metres south-east of the intersection of that middle line and middle line of Wigram Road; thence south-easterly along the middle of Dunbars Road to the point of commencement.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, County of Paparua, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the middle lines of Halswell Junction Road and Wigram Road, and proceeding northerly along the middle of Wigram Road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Rural Section 146; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary to the south-eastern boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 9987, comprised in C.T. 419/157 (measuring 4.89 metres); thence south-westerly along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Heathcote River; thence south-westerly generally up the middle of that river to a point in line with the middle of Templetons Road; thence south-easterly to and along that middle line to the middle of Halswell Road; thence north-easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the original north-eastern side of Hendersons Road; thence south-easterly to and along that roadside to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 3217; thence north-easterly along that boundary and the north-western boundaries of Lots 5 and 6, D.P. 20481, and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 6, D.P. 3217, comprised in C.T. 282/285 to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned part lot, across Cashmere Road along a right line to the north-eastern corner of Lot 4, D.P. 23758, and along the eastern boundary of that lot and its production to the middle of Cashmere Stream; thence north-easterly generally along the middle of that stream to the eastern side of Worsleys Road; thence southerly generally along that roadside, the north-eastern boundary of part Rural Section 37133, and again along the eastern side of Worsleys Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of another part Rural Section 37133, Block III, Halswell Survey District; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary across Summit Road to and along the north-eastern boundary of Reserve 3901 to the summit of the Port Hills; thence southerly generally along that summit to the middle of Bush Road; thence westerly generally along the middle of that road, Summit Road, and Kennedys Bush Road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Reserve 4069; thence south-westerly to and along that boundary and south-westerly, north-westerly, and northerly along the south-eastern, south-western, and western boundaries of Rural Section 38702 to the middle of Early Valley Road, thence westerly generally along the middle of that road and Old Tai Tapu Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 16977; thence westerly along a right line aligned on that boundary to the middle of that river and Knights Stream to and along the north-western boundary of Rural Section 952 and its production to the middle of Halswell Junction Road, Block XIV, Christchurch Survey District; thence south-easterly along the middle of that road to the point of commencement; excluding therefrom the Halswell County Town Riding hereinbefore described.

Special Order Made by the Mackenzie County Council Altering Boundaries

Pursuant to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary for Local Government hereby publishes the following Special Order made by the Mackenzie County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER

Pursuant to the provisions of the Counties Act 1956, and the Local Government Act 1974, the Mackenzie County Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order that, as from 1 April 1977, the boundary of the Fairlie Community Riding of the Mackenzie County Council and the Fairlie Community be amended and redefined to incorporate all the land contained in the Schedule attached.

This Special Order was passed at a meeting of the Mackenzie County Council, held on 3 March 1977, and was duly confirmed at a meeting of the said council held on 1 April 1977.

The Common Seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Mackenzie was hereunto affixed in the presence of:
