The Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 2, 1977

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 2, 1977.
  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.
  4. The Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 3, 1974, dated the 9th day of December 1974†, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Whangarei County at Ruakaka and One Tree Point, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Whangarei County at Ruakaka:

Bream Bay Drive.
Garland Road.
Marsden Point Road eastern accessway: from a point 180 metres measured southerly generally along the said road from Seaview Road to its northern end.
Ruakaka Beach Road: from a point 250 metres measured southerly generally along the said road from Bream Bay Drive to the eastern end of Ruakaka Beach Road.
Slako Crescent.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Whangarei County at One Tree Point:

One Tree Point Road: from a point 200 metres measured south-easterly generally along the said road from Albany Road to a point 500 metres measured northerly generally along One Tree Point Road from Pyle Road West.

SITUATED within Whangarei County at Ruakaka:

Camelia Avenue.
Marsden Point Road: from a point 160 metres measured northerly generally along the said road from No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 160 metres measured southerly generally along the said road from Salle Road.
Marsh Road.
Princes Road.
Ruakaka Beach Road: from Marsden Point Road to a point 250 metres measured southerly generally along Ruakaka Beach Road from Bream Bay Drive.

Officers Authorised to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations

PURSUANT to section 9 of the Oaths and Declarations Act 1957, as amended by the Oaths and Declarations Amendment Act 1972, I have authorised the holders for the time being of the offices in the service of the Local Authority, specified in the Schedule below, to take and receive statutory declarations under the said Act.

Notice under Section 5 of the National Savings Act 1940

PURSUANT to section 5 of the National Savings Act 1940, the Minister of Finance hereby authorises the Boards of Trustees of the under-mentioned savings banks (being savings banks established under the Trustee Savings Banks Act 1948) to receive investments by way of deposits in investment accounts under the said Act during the investment period commencing on the 1st day of July 1977 and ending on the 30th day of June 1978:

Auckland Savings Bank;
Taranaki Savings Bank;
Otago Savings Bank; and
Southland Savings Bank.
