Notice of Acquisition of Public Reserve by the Crown
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, notice is
hereby given that the land, described in the Schedule hereto,
has been acquired as a reserve for scenic purposes, subject
to the provisions of Part IV of the said Act, to form part
of the Otoru scenic reserve.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—OTOROHANGA COUNTY
Otoru Scenic Reserve
Lot 1, D.P. S. 20706, being Section 6, Block XI and part
Section 22, Block XIV, Mangarongo Survey District: area,

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at
Licensed Premises—King Country Licensing Committee
PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962,
as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I,
Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice
that the King Country Licensing Committee on 29 April 1977
made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for
the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the
following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as
Benneydale Hotel, Benneydale:
(a) On every Friday, Saturday, and Christmas Eve (not
being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general
public, and not being New Year’s Eve) the hour of
closing to be 11 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day when
licensed premises are required to be closed for the
sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of
closing to be 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New
Year’s Day.
Subject to the following conditions:
(1) That an adequate supply of sandwiches and pies be
available to bar patrons from 6 o’clock in the evening until closing time, and,
(2) That the meal hours for the hotel dining room remain
at 6.30 o’clock to 8.30 o’clock in the evening, including
provisions for casual diners, and be not altered without the prior approval of this Committee.

that the Nelson Licensing Committee on 13 May 1977 made
orders authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale
of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following
hours of trading for the licensed premises specified in the
Schedule below:
(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
(not being days when licensed premises are required
to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general
public, and not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s
Eve) the hour of opening to be as usual 11 o’clock in
the morning and the hour of closing to be 10 o’clock
in the evening.
(b) On every Friday, Saturday and Christmas Eve (not being
days when licensed premises are required to be closed
for the sale of liquor to the general public, and not
being New Year’s Eve) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 11 o’clock in the evening.
(c) On every New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day (not being
days when licensed premises are required to be closed
for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour
of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning of New
Year’s Eve, and the hour of closing 0.30 o’clock in
the morning of New Year’s Day.
