Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land in Strathallan County

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 5th day of May 1977.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL those pieces of land situated in Block IV, Otaio Survey District, described as follows:

A. R. P. Being
84 1 10 Lots 25, 26, 28, 29, and 30 of Reserve 1263. All the land in Proclamation No. 2340, Canterbury Land Registry.
51 2 17 Subdivisions 22 and 23 of Reserve 1263, and part Reserve 740. All the land in Proclamation No. 372450, Canterbury Land Registry.
3 1 17.3 Part Reserve 1263. All the land in Proclamation No. 508431, Canterbury Land Registry.

The Traffic (Tauranga County) Notice No. 2, 1977

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Tauranga County) Notice No. 2, 1977.
  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.
  4. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 1st day of December in each year and ending with the Tuesday following Easter each year shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 50 kilometres an hour fixed by the said section.
  5. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976* except during that period when clause 4 of this notice applies.
  6. The Traffic (Tauranga County) Notice No. 5, 1969, dated the 21st day of October 1969†, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Tauranga County, at Maketu, is hereby revoked.
  7. The Traffic (Tauranga County) Notice No. 1, 1972, dated the 13th day of June 1972‡, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Tauranga County at Pukehina, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Tauranga County, at Maketu:

Williams Crescent.

Lyndhurst Avenue.

Town Point Road: from Raupuroa Road to its northern terminating point.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Tauranga County, at Maketu:

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the north-western end of Raupuroa Road; thence southerly and easterly generally along the eastern side of Raupuroa Road to Arawa Avenue; thence across Arawa Avenue at right angles from its western side to its eastern side; thence southerly generally along the eastern side of Arawa Avenue to a point opposite Little Waihi Road; thence across Arawa Avenue at right angles from its eastern side to its western side; thence westerly generally along the northern side of Little Waihi Road to a point opposite the eastern side of Church Road; thence across Little Waihi Road at right angles from its northern side to its southern side; thence southerly generally along the eastern side of Church Road to the eastern side of the Paengaroa-Maketu Road; thence along the eastern side of the Paengaroa-Maketu Road to a point 60 metres measured southerly generally from Church Road; thence across the Paengaroa-Maketu Road at right angles from its eastern side to its western side; thence northerly generally along the western side of the Paengaroa-Maketu Road to the south-eastern side of Cemetery Road; thence south-westerly generally along the said side of Cemetery Road to the south-eastern side of Spencer Avenue; thence north-westerly generally along the said side of Spencer Avenue to the south-eastern side of the Tauranga-Maketu Road; thence along the south-eastern side of the Tauranga-Maketu Road to a point 160 metres measured south-westerly generally along the said road from Spencer Avenue; thence north-easterly generally along the Tauranga-Maketu Road to a point on the eastern bank of the Maketu Estuary; thence north-easterly generally along the said bank of the said estuary to a point due west of the commencing point; thence due east by a right line to the commencing point.

THIRD SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Tauranga County, at Pukehina:

Costello Crescent.

Pukehina Parade.

Pukehina Beach Road: from Pukehina Parade to a point 320 metres measured south-westerly generally along Pukehina Beach Road from Pukehina Parade.

The Traffic (Napier City) Notice No. 1, 1977

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Napier City) Notice No. 1, 1977.
  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The Traffic (Napier City) Notice No. 1, 1973, dated the 1st day of November 1973†, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulations 27 and 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Napier City, and the Traffic (Hawke’s Bay County) Notice 1969‡, dated the 15th day of January 1969, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to a road situated within Hawke’s Bay County, are hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Napier City:

Embankment Road (from a point 50 metres measured westerly generally along the said road from Taradale Road to the north-western boundary of Napier City).

Park Island Road.

Wharerangi Road (from a point 50 metres measured westerly generally along the said road from Westminster Avenue to the western boundary of Napier City).
