Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Southland Licensing Committee
PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Southland Licensing Committee on 7 April 1977 made orders authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises specified in the Schedule below:
(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public, and not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve), the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On every Friday, Saturday, and Christmas Eve (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public), the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 11 o’clock in the evening.
(c) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public), the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

(b) On every Friday, Saturday, and Christmas Eve (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public), the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 11 o’clock in the evening.
(c) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public), the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.
Subject to the following exceptions:
(d) Saturdays and Public Holidays falling on any Friday or Saturday (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public, and not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve), the hours shall be 9 o’clock in the morning to 1.30 o’clock in the afternoon, and 4 o’clock in the afternoon to 11 o’clock in the evening.
(e) Public Holidays falling on any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public, and not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve), the hours shall be 9 o’clock in the morning to 1.30 o’clock in the afternoon, and 4 o’clock in the afternoon to 10 o’clock in the evening.

PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the King Country Licensing Committee on 11 March 1977 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as Mountain View Hotel, Tongariro National Park:
(a) On each and every Friday and Saturday between 3 June 1977 and 22 October 1977 (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of closing to be at 11 o’clock in the evening.
