THE RIGHT HON. R. D. MULDOON PRESIDING IN COUNCILLPURSUANT to the Local Government Act 1974, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
O R D E R1. This order shall come into force on the 1st day of May 1977.2. The boundaries of Dannevirke County and Eketahuna County shall be altered by excluding from Dannevirke County and including in Eketahuna County the area described in the Schedule hereto.3. The area excluded from Dannevirke County shall form part of the Alfredton Riding of Eketahuna County.
SCHEDULEAll that area in the Wellington Land District containing 34 square kilometres, more or less, being portion of the County of Dannevirke bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Pakowai River in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 16264, and proceeding generally northerly to and along that boundary, the eastern boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 16264, Lot 1 D.P. 10913, Section 24, Block IX Owahanga S.D., and Section 22 Block V, Owahanga S.D., the north-eastern boundary of the said Section 22 and its production to the middle of Waihoki Road, along the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 8, Block V, Owahanga S.D., to and along that boundary and the northern boundaries of Sections 8 and 4, Block V, Owahanga S.D., to the north-western corner of the said Section 4; thence southerly and easterly along the boundaries of the County of Dannevirke as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1977, page 136, to the point of commencement.
