Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work (Sockburn-Styx Railway)
PURSUANT to section 45 of the Government Railways Act 1949 and section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken, subject to proclamation 853912, for the purposes of the Sockburn-Styx railway on and after the 18th day of April 1977.

The Central Canterbury Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1965, Amendment No. 4
PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby amends the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1965*, as amended by the amendments, specified in the Schedule hereto, by adding to the First Schedule thereto under the heading “Lines Authorised”, the following paragraph:
“(5) A line commencing from a line authorised by the Minister of Electricity on 25 October 1974 (Gazette, 7 November 1974, No. 110, page 2845) and proceeding in a westerly direction for a distance of 306 metres, then in a southerly direction for a distance of 60 metres, all being situated in Block V, Christchurch Survey District, D.P. 14738, Part I, and the said line being more particularly shown on plans marked N.Z.E.D. 928 and 934 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.”

Counties to be Areas in Which Owners of Cattle Shall Submit their Cattle for Testing with the Brucellosis Test (No. 1681 Ag. 6/15/1)
PURSUANT to section 53 of the Animals Act 1967, it is hereby declared that:
(a) All those areas specified in the Schedule hereto comprising counties (including all cities, boroughs, and town districts, and other areas of land surrounded by or contiguous to such counties) shall be specified areas for compulsory brucellosis testing; and
(b) On and from the date of this notice every owner of cattle in every area, so described as often as and in such manner as may be required by the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries, shall submit his cattle for brucellosis testing.

Notice Respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of Hawke’s Bay County and Havelock North Borough
IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, pursuant to section 12 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, praying that the areas described in the Schedule hereto be excluded from the area of Hawke’s Bay County and be included in the area of Havelock North Borough.
All persons affected, who object to the proposed alteration of boundaries, are hereby called upon to lodge any objections to, or petitions against, the proposed alteration, with the Minister of Local Government, Parliament Buildings, Wellington, within 1 month from the date of publication of this notice.
