Lake Ruataniwha Caravan Park (Mackenzie County) Road Traffic Bylaws 1976

PURSUANT to section 72 of the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Works and Development having control of the roads within the Ruataniwha caravan park in the County of Mackenzie hereby makes the following bylaws in respect of the portions of roads described in the bylaws.

BYLAWS

  1. Title and commencement:
    (a) These bylaws may be cited as the Lake Ruataniwha Caravan Park (Mackenzie County) Road Traffic Bylaws 1976.
    (b) These bylaws shall come into force on the date of their notification in the Gazette.

  2. Speed restrictions:
    No person shall drive any vehicle on any road within the Lake Ruataniwha caravan park at a speed exceeding:
    (a) 50 km/h along Caravan Park Road between its junction with the Ohau A powerhouse access road and a point 500 metres east of the said intersection.
    (b) 20 km/h on any other portion of road.

  3. For the purposes of these bylaws the Lake Ruataniwha caravan park shall comprise that area defined as having its southern and eastern boundaries as the Ruataniwha Lake shoreline at 458.5 metres MSL from its intersection with the bottom of the terrace alongside Ohau A Powerhouse Road in the north-east to a point 200 metres south of the intersection of Boat Harbour Road and Ohau A Powerhouse Road and from this point to the said intersection; its western and northern boundaries as Ohau A Powerhouse Road from its intersection with Boat Harbour Road in the south-west corner to its intersection with Ostler Road in the north-east and from this intersection a straight line south to the intersection with Lake Ruataniwha shoreline at the bottom of the terrace.

  4. Offences and penalty:
    (a) Every person who commits a breach of or fails to comply with any provisions of these bylaws commits an offence against these bylaws.
    (b) Every person who commits an offence against these bylaws is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $100.

The Wairarapa Electric Power Board Water Power and Electric Lines Licence 1964, Amendment No. 5

PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby amends the Wairarapa Electric Power Board Water Power and Electric Lines Licence 1964*, as amended by the amendments specified in the Schedule hereto, by adding to the First Schedule thereto under the heading “Lines Authorised”, the following paragraph:

(8) A line commencing at the boundary of the Wairarapa Electric Power District and proceeding in a westerly direction for approximately 1,207 metres and then in a south-westerly direction for approximately 402 metres, all being situated in Block XVI, Pukito Survey District. The said line is more particularly shown coloured red on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 933, deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.
