  1. The Traffic (Waitotara County) Notice 1965, dated the 16th day of June 1965†, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Waitotara County is hereby revoked.

The Traffic (Levin Borough) Notice No. 1, 1977

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Levin Borough) Notice, No. 1, 1977.
  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.
  4. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  5. The roads specified in the Fourth Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.
  6. The Traffic (Levin Borough) Notice No. 1, 1975, dated the 13th day of June 1975†, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Levin Borough is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Levin Borough:

No. 57 State Highway (Levin-Palmerston North via Shannon): from the eastern boundary of Levin Borough to a point 480 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said State highway from the said boundary.

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from the southern boundary of Levin Borough to a point 640 metres measured north-easterly generally along the said State highway from the said boundary; and from the northern boundary of Levin Borough to a point 1000 metres measured southerly generally along the said highway from the said boundary.

Arapaepae Road.
Bruce Road.
Hokio Beach Road: from Bruce Road to the western boundary of Levin Borough.
Kawiu Road: from Tirotiro Road to the western boundary of Levin Borough.
Makomako Road: from the Tirotiro Road to the western boundary of Levin Borough.
Patiikei Road: from Kawiu Road to the northern boundary of Levin Borough.
Roslyn Road.
Tararua Road.
Queen Street: from a point 300 metres measured westerly generally along Queen Street from Tirotiro Road to its termination at the Horowhenua Lake Domain.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Levin Borough:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from a point 80 metres measured north-easterly generally along the said State highway from the southern boundary of Levin Borough to a point 640 metres measured north-easterly generally along the said State highway from the said boundary; and from

a point 420 metres measured southerly generally along the said State highway from the northern boundary of Levin Borough to a point 1000 metres measured southerly generally along the said highway from the said boundary.

No. 57 State highway (Levin-Palmerston North via Shannon): from the eastern boundary of Levin Borough to a point 480 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said State highway from the said boundary.

THIRD SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Horowhenua County adjacent to Levin Borough:

Fairfield Road: from a point 200 metres measured northerly generally along Fairfield Road from McArthur Road to a point 400 metres measured northerly generally along Fairfield Road from McArthur Road.

Kawiu Road: from Tirotiro Road to Weraroa Road.

FOURTH SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Levin Borough:

Queen Street: from a point 300 metres west of Tirotiro Road to its termination at the Horowhenua Lake Domain.
Tararua Road.

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice:

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Richmond Borough and Waimea County) Notice No. 1, 1977.
  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

SITUATED within Richmond Borough:

No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth): from the north-eastern boundary of Richmond Borough to a point 560 metres measured south-westerly generally along the said State highway from the said boundary, and from the south-western boundary of Richmond Borough to a point 600 metres measured north-easterly generally along the said State highway from the said boundary.

Queen Street: from the north-western boundary of Richmond Borough to a point 900 metres measured south-easterly generally along the said street from the said boundary.

Wensley Road: from Bateups Road to a point 640 metres measured north-easterly generally along Wensley Road from Bateups Road.

Richmond Deviation: from a point 250 metres measured north-easterly generally from McClashen Avenue to the north-eastern boundary of Richmond Borough.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Richmond Borough:

Wensley Road: from Bateups Road to a point 640 metres measured north-easterly generally along Wensley Road from Bateups Road.
