having been appointed the official member of the State Services Tribunal for a term of 3 years commencing on the 24th day of June 1974 and having resigned his office on the 7th day of December 1976, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister of State Services hereby appoints

John Joseph Loftus

as the Official Member of the State Services Tribunal to fill the vacancy so created on and from the 5th day of January 1977 for the residue of the term for which his predecessor was appointed, which term expires on the 23rd day of June 1977.

At the Government House at Wellington this First day of March 1977.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

1. (i) This order may be cited as the Pests of Local Importance Order 1977, No. 1.
   (ii) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
2. (i) The opossum is hereby declared a pest of local importance in the Agricultural Pest Destruction Districts specified in the First Schedule hereto.
   (ii) The hare is hereby declared a pest of local importance in the Agricultural Pest Destruction Districts specified in the Second Schedule hereto.
   (iii) The rook is hereby declared a pest of local importance in the Agricultural Pest Destruction District specified in the Third Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Opossums declared pests of local importance in the following Pest Destruction Districts:
Thames Coromandel.
Grey County.
Eltham County.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Hares declared pests of local importance in the following Pest Destruction Districts:
Thames-Coromandel.
Grey County.
Rodney County.

THIRD SCHEDULE

Rooks declared pests of local importance in the following Pest Destruction District:
East Coast.
