The Traffic (Malvern County) Notice No. 1, 1977

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Malvern County) Notice No. 1, 1977.
  2. The roads, specified in the First Schedule hereto, are hereby declared to be 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.
  3. The notice, under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 21st day of March 1958†, which relates to roads situated within Malvern County, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Malvern County at Glentunnel:

No. 72 State Highway (Woodend-Winchester via Oxford and Mayfield): from a point 140 metres measured westerly generally along the said State highway from Coal Track Road to a point 50 metres measured westerly generally along the said State highway from Philip Street.

Albert Street.
Elizabeth Street.
Philip Street.
Railway Terrace.
Union Street.
Victoria Street.

The Traffic (Taumarunui Borough and Taumarunui County) Notice No. 1, 1977

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Taumarunui Borough and Taumarunui County) Notice No. 1, 1977.
  2. The roads, specified in the First Schedule hereto, are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The roads, specified in the Second Schedule hereto, are hereby declared to be 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.
  4. The roads, specified in the Third Schedule hereto, are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  5. The Traffic (Taumarunui Borough and Taumarunui County) Notice No. 2, 1975, dated the 18th day of July 1975†, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Taumarunui Borough and Taumarunui County, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Taumarunui Borough:

No. 4 State Highway (Te Kuiti-Wanganui, via Raetihi): from the western boundary of Taumarunui Borough to a point 160 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said highway from the Ongarue river bridge; and from the eastern boundary of Taumarunui Borough to a point 340 metres measured easterly generally along the said State highway from Winstone Street.

Golf Road: from the northern boundary of Taumarunui Borough to a point 100 metres measured southerly generally from the said boundary.

Lairdvale Road: from the northern boundary of Taumarunui Borough to a point 460 metres measured south-westerly generally along the said road from the said boundary.

Marsack Road.
River Road.

Simmons Road: from a point 320 metres measured easterly generally along the said road from Taringamotu Road to a point 250 metres measured westerly generally from Lairdvale Road.

Racecourse Road.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Taumarunui Borough at Manunui:

No. 4 State Highway (Te Kuiti-Wanganui via Raetihi): from a point 200 metres measured north-westerly generally along the State highway from Rata Street to a point 180 metres measured south-easterly generally along the said State highway from Pungapunga Road.

THIRD SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Taumarunui County adjacent to Taumarunui Borough:

Hikimutu Road: from the southern boundary of Taumarunui Borough to a point 520 metres measured south-westerly generally along the said road from the said boundary.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Wellington Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Wellington Licensing Committee, on 16 February 1977, made orders authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as Imperial Tavern, Wellington.

(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public and not being Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve), the hour of opening shall be 11 o'clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o'clock in the evening.
(b) On every Friday, Saturday, and Christmas Eve (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public), the hour of opening shall be 10 o'clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o'clock in the evening.
(c) On every New Year's Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public), the hour of opening shall be 8.30 o'clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o'clock in the evening.

PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Wellington Licensing Committee, on 16 February 1977, made orders authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as Britannia Hotel, Wellington.

(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public, and not being Christmas Eve), the hour of opening shall be 11 o'clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o'clock in the evening.
(b) On every Friday and on every Christmas Eve (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public, and not being a Saturday), the hour of opening shall be 10 o'clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o'clock in the evening.
(c) On every Saturday (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public), the hour of opening shall be 9 o'clock in the morning and the hour of closing 8 o'clock in the evening.
