State Forest Land Set Apart as State Forest Park for addition to Catlins State Forest Park

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 63B (1) of the Forests Act 1949, (as substituted by section 19 of the Forests Amendment Act 1976) I, Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the State forest land described in the Schedule hereto as State forest park which shall hereby form part of the Catlins State Forest Park.

SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY—SOUTHLAND COUNTY

SECTION 1, Block VIII, Slopedown Survey District: area 3.4500 hectares, more or less (S.O. 9261); also Section 14, Block II, Mokoreta Survey District: area, 1.4000 hectares, more or less (S.O. 9261).

As shown on plan S. 178/16, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the seal of New Zealand, this 7th day of December 1977.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for a parking place.

ALL that piece of land containing 22.8 perches, situated in the Borough of Devonport, and being part Allotment 21, Section 2, Parish of Takapuna. All certificate of title, Volume 567, folio 242, limited as to parcels.

Appointment of Honorary Harbourmaster

PURSUANT to section 7 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of the powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby appoint

Elwyn Lawrence McQueen

as honorary harbourmaster for the waters of Port Fitzroy, Great Barrier Island, and hereby empower such harbourmaster to enforce the provisions of the General Harbour (Nautical and Miscellaneous) Regulations 1968*, and to discharge the duties of supervising officer under the Motor Launch Regulations 1962†, within the above-described waters.

The appointment‡ of Elwyn Lawrence McQueen as honorary assistant harbourmaster for the waters of Port Fitzroy, Great Barrier Island, is hereby revoked.
