The Traffic (Waipa County) Notice No. 4, 1977

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waipa County) Notice No. 4, 1977.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

  4. The Traffic (Waipa County) Notice No. 1, 1977, dated the 27th day of September 1977†, under Section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, which relates to roads situated within Waipa County at Ohaupo, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waipa County at Ohaupo:

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the eastern side of No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton–Woodville via New Plymouth) at the eastern end of the Ngahinapouri–Ohaupo main highway; thence south-easterly generally along the eastern side of the said State highway to a point 280 metres measured south-easterly generally along the said side of the said State highway from Great Collins Street; thence across the said State highway at right angles from its eastern side to its western side; thence southerly generally along the western side of the said State highway to a point opposite the western end of Ranby Road; thence due west by a right line to the North Island Main Trunk Railway line to a point due west of the western end of Great Burke Street; thence due east to the eastern side of Sandes Street; thence northerly generally along the eastern side of Sandes Street to the southern side of the Ngahinapouri–Ohaupo main highway; thence easterly generally along the southern side of the said main highway to the commencing point.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waipa County at Ohaupo:

No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton–Woodville via New Plymouth): from the Ngahinapouri–Ohaupo main highway to a point 720 metres measured northerly generally along the said State highway from the Ngahinapouri–Ohaupo main highway; and from a point 280 metres measured south-easterly generally along the said highway from Great Collins Street to a point 220 metres measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Ranby Road.

Alma Street: from No. 63 State Highway to a point 20 metres measured northerly generally along Alma Street from Oudenarde Street.

Anglesea Street: from No. 6 State Highway to Boyce Street.

Agincourt Street.

Blenheim Street: from No. 6 State Highway to a point 50 metres northerly generally from No. 6 State Highway.

Brook Street: from Havelock Street to a point 20 metres measured northerly generally along Brook Street from Oudenarde Street.

  3. The Traffic Notice dated the 31st day of August 1959†, under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, which relates to road situated within Waitaki County at Moeraki, is hereby revoked.

SITUATED within Waitaki County at Moeraki:

Haven Street: from West Street to the eastern end of Haven Street.
