OTAGO LAND DISTRICT—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY—TUAPEKA, SILVERPEAKS, AND BRUCE COUNTIES

Waipori Rural Fire District

ALL that area in Otago Land District containing 15074 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at Trig W Waitahuna Hill, and proceeding in a westerly direction generally along the common boundary of State forest land and Dunedin City Council land to the Waitahuna River; thence westerly along the north bank of the said river to its junction with the Waitahuna-Waipori Road; thence northerly along the western side of the formed road to its junction with the Lawrence-Waipori Road; thence south-easterly generally by right lines to and through Trigs F2 (Block VI, Waipori Survey District), I (Block XIII, Maungatoa Survey District), E and C (Block XV, Maungatoa Survey District) produced to intersect the southern boundary of Shaw Road; thence westerly generally along the southern boundary of Shaw Road to the boundary of Maungatoa and Waipori Survey Districts; thence westerly generally along the common boundary of the State Forest land and the Dunedin City Council land to the point of commencement.

As shown more particularly on plan S163/10, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington.

Authorising the Nelson Harbour Board to Reclaim Land at Port Nelson

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 175 (3) and subject to sections 176 to 182 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Nelson Harbour Board to reclaim from the bed of the sea at Port Nelson, an area of 634 square metres more or less, as shown on plan M.D. (C) 143 deposited in the Ministry of Transport at Wellington.

Authorising the Tauranga City Council to Reclaim Land at Bay Street, Tauranga

At Government House at Wellington this 25th day of October 1977

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 175 (2) and subject to sections 176 to 182 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent to the Executive Council, hereby authorise the Tauranga City Council to reclaim from the bed of the Tauranga Harbour at Bay Street, Tauranga, an area of 2066 square metres, more or less, as shown hatched black on plan M.D. 15847 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington. Provided that the land so reclaimed is vested in the Tauranga City Council for use as a roadway (1108 square metres) and Esplanade Reserve (958 square metres).

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Education Lands Act 1949, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the Crown Land set apart for the University of Auckland and described in the Schedule hereto shall vest in the University of Auckland, to be held in trust for its purposes. The Order in Council declaring Crown Land to be vested in the University of Auckland to be held in trust for its purposes, dated 26 March 1973, and published in the Gazette, No. 29, on 5 April 1973, page 682, is hereby revoked.

Warrant Appointing a Member of the Tasman Electric Power Board

PURSUANT to section 17 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, I, Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby appoint Noel Leslie James Haycock, of Pokororo, farmer, to be the representative of the Waimea County on the Tasman Electric Power Board.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 8th day of November 1977.

PURSUANT to section 59 of the Defence Act 1971, the Minister of Defence hereby approves the following appointments, promotions, extensions, relinquishments, cancellations, transfers, resignations and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Cadet Forces:

SEA CADET CORPS

Appointments

Grant Robert Aislabie is appointed to a cadet commission in the rank of Sub Lieutenant on probation for three years, with effect from 3 October 1977 and seniority from 22 September 1977.

Ian John Sargent is appointed to a cadet commission in the rank of Sub Lieutenant on probation for three years, with effect from 3 October 1977 and seniority from 22 January 1977.

William Keith Storey is appointed to a cadet commission in the rank of Sub Lieutenant on probation for three years, with effect from 3 October 1977 and seniority from 23 September 1977.

Extensions

Lieutenant Commander A. V. W. Vercoe is granted an extension of his cadet commission until 18 April 1978.
