Meat Industry Authority (Notice No. 9—M.I.A. 3/3)—Specifying Sadds Meat Packers Limited as the Controlling Authority of the Blenheim Municipal Abattoir vice the Blenheim Borough Council, and Restating the Boundaries of the Blenheim Abattoir District

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Meat Act 1964 (as amended by section 12 of the Meat Amendment Act 1976) notice is hereby given as follows:

1. Sadds Meat Packers Limited of Blenheim shall be the controlling authority of the Blenheim Municipal Abattoir vice the Blenheim Borough Council.

2. The Blenheim Abattoir District shall continue to comprise the district of the Borough of Blenheim, and the district of the Borough of Picton.

3. The notice dated 17 August 1964 declaring the appointment of the Blenheim Borough Council as controlling authority of the Blenheim Municipal Abattoir is revoked.*

4. This notice shall take effect as from 1 November 1977.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Industries Development Notice No. 1977/5: Book Production Inquiry: Industries Development Commission Report No. 6

1. On 17 June 1976 the Minister of Trade and Industry requested the Commission to inquire into and report on the present situation and prospects of the New Zealand book production industry. The Commission held a public hearing on 12 October 1976 to assist it in its inquiry.

2. The Commission delivered its report to the Minister of Trade and Industry on 28 October 1977.

Exemption from the Requirement to Wear a Seat Belt

PURSUANT to regulation 30 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts the following persons in the Schedule hereto from the requirement to wear a seat belt as contained in subclause (1) of the said regulation 30.
