Land Taken for a State Primary School in Block XI, Cloudy Bay Survey District, Marlborough County

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a State primary school; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 3rd day of November 1977.

SCHEDULE

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 1011 square metres, situated in Block XI, Cloudy Bay Survey District, being part Section 50, Wairau West Registration District; as shown on plan S.O. 5287, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Blenheim, and thereon marked “A”.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General and issued under the Seal of New Zealand this 26th day of September 1977.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation declaring an Area in the Rotorua Acclimatisation District (now the Central North Island Wildlife Conservancy) to be a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Sir Keith Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation, dated the 10th day of January 1957, declaring an area of land in the Rotorua Acclimatisation District (now the Central North Island Wildlife Conservancy) to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953, in so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, and I hereby further declare the restrictions as to the use of boats in the said Proclamation are hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

SECTION 137, Te Puia Suburban (Ratahi Lagoon), situated in Block XVI, Mata Survey District (S.O. Plan 1926) containing an area of 6 acres and 3 roods, more or less.

As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/289 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General and issued under the Seal of New Zealand this 27th day of October 1977.

Appointing The Ministerial Appointee To The Quantity Surveyors’ Registration Board

Stipendiary Magistrate Appointed

PURSUANT to section 5 of the Magistrates’ Courts Act 1947, and section 7 (2) of the Domestic Proceedings Act 1968, and section 21 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1974, His Excellency, the Administrator of the Government, has been pleased to appoint:

Peter James Duncan, Esquire

of Rotorua, barrister and solicitor, to be a Stipendiary Magistrate to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand, the jurisdiction of the Children and Young Persons Courts, and the domestic jurisdiction of the Magistrates’ Courts.

to be a Judge of the Supreme Court for a period of 12 months.
