Pursuant to section 24 (2), Municipal Corporations Act 1954, I, Richard Arthur Innes, Chief Surveyor, Canterbury Land District, hereby certify that the descriptions of the five wards in the Special Order, confirmed by the Christchurch City Council on Monday, 15 November 1976, are sufficient to render the boundaries of each ward capable of identification.

Setting Aside Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land, described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a marae for the common use and benefit of the Ngati-maru, Ngatihaauaru, Ngatiteaute, and Ngatiwhanaunga tribes, and for the residents of the locality generally.

National Roads Board Amending Notice Partially Revoking Declaration of State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

Pursuant to section 330A of the Public Works Act 1928, the National Roads Board hereby amends the notice dated 22 September 1975 and published in New Zealand Gazette, No. 84, 9 October 1975, page 2243, partially revoking the declaration as limited access road of No. 25 State Highway (Pipiroa to Waihi via Coromandel) from its junction with No. 2 State Highway to the Thames Borough Boundary, by deleting reference to “12.2 metres” and substituting therefor the reference “16.2 metres”.

Licensing Harold Keith Simon to Occupy a Site for a Jetty at Taieri Mouth

Pursuant to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby license and permit Harold Keith Simon (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Taieri River as shown on plan marked M.D. 12265 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Christchurch, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto. The licence of 28 June 1966* authorising Wilson, Neill (Export Division) Ltd. to occupy a site for a jetty and assigned to National Mortgage and Agency Co. of New Zealand Ltd. on 11 May 1967† and further assigned to Graeme Murray Fraser on 20 July 1971‡ is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the licence shall be 4 years from the 1st day of June 1976.

(3) The premium payable by the licensee shall be fifteen dollars ($15) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be forty dollars ($40); provided always that the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said term.

Licensing Skeggs Foods Limited to Occupy a Site for a Jetty, Freezer, and Hut at Bradshaw Sound, Fiordland

Pursuant to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby license and permit Skeggs Foods Limited (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at Bradshaw Sound, Fiordland, as shown on plan marked M.D. 14538, and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Christchurch, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty, freezer and hut as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the licence shall be 2 years from the 1st day of November 1976.

(3) The premium payable by the licensee shall be fifteen dollars ($15) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be eighty dollars ($80); provided always that the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said term.

(4) The licensee shall at all times during the continuance of the licence maintain the structures in good order and repair.

(5) In accordance with regulation 13 of the regulations, this licence may be revoked by the Minister, without liability for compensation, after at least three calendar months’ previous notice in writing, or at any time if the licensee commits a breach of these conditions.

(6) In accordance with regulation 14 of the regulations, all structures are to be removed, and the foreshore restored to its original condition within one month of the expiry of this licence, unless it is renewed, or within one month of the date of revocation of the licence.

(7) This licence is granted only in respect of the site for the aforementioned structures and does not confer any rights of access or usage of land above high water ordinary spring tides, such land being Crown land under the control of the Fiordland National Park Board.

Licensing Theo Brian Thomas to Occupy Sites for Four Boat-mooring Piles in the Tamaki River

Pursuant to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby license and permit Theo Brian Thomas (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy part of the bed of the Tamaki River, as shown on plan marked M.D. (N) 123 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Auckland, for the purpose of maintaining thereon four boat-mooring piles as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the licence shall be 2 years from the 1st day of February 1977.
