Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 9) 1977
PURSUANT to regulation 17 of the Import Control Regulations 1973*, the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby gives notice as follows:

(a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 9) 1977.
(b) This notice shall come into effect on the 1st day of January 1978. -
Goods of the class described in the Schedule hereto, which are imported from and are the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence or permit under the said regulations.

Goods (other than Motor Vehicles) which qualify for admission under the duty concession for crew members baggage and effects admitted under reference 10.2 of Part II of the Customs Tariff.

EXPLANATORY NOTE: This notice creates an exemption for bona fide personal baggage and effects which do not exceed $150 in total value belonging to crew members of ships and aircraft. The exemption is applicable only once per calendar year and then for one trip only and cannot be spread over more than one arrival.
Appointment of Local Licensing Authority
PURSUANT to section 7 (2) (c) of the Dangerous Goods Act 1974, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby declares that the Westland County Council is to be a Licensing Authority as from the 1st day of April 1978.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation
PURSUANT to section 439 (1) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation, for the purposes of an urupa to be known as Poumaanu for the common use and benefit of the members of the Ngati Haua tribe.

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori Land Board hereby gives notice as follows:

The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

PURSUANT to section 10 of the Valuation of Land Act 1951, the Valuer-General has postponed the revision of the district valuation rolls for the districts named in the following Schedule to a date no later than 1 October 1978.

Amending the Licence Authorising Mervyn Norman Young to occupy a Site for a Set of Five Mooring Piles for One Boat in the Tamaki River
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby give notice that the licence of 20 July 1977* authorising Mervyn Norman Young to use and occupy a part of the bed of the Tamaki River, as a site for a set of five mooring piles for one boat, is hereby amended by deleting the word “plan” and substituting the word “plans” and inserting the phrase “and MD(N) 412” after the expression “MD(N) 348”; and inserting after the words “a set of five mooring piles for one boat” the words “and platform”.
