(c) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Eve and the hour of closing 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.
(d) It shall be a condition that a substantial meal be available from 9 o’clock in the evening on each evening when the premises are open for more than the usual eleven hours in any one day.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Northland Licensing Committee
PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as substituted by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Northland Licensing Committee on 5 October 1977 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as Star Hotel, Kawakawa:
(a) On every Friday and Christmas Eve (Christmas Eve not being a Saturday, and not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 11 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On every Saturday (including Christmas Eve, but not including New Year’s Eve, and not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 9 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 9 o’clock in the evening.
(c) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Eve and the hour of closing 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.
(d) On every other day (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o’clock in the evening.

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as substituted by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the East Coast Licensing Committee on 5 October 1977 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as Kawa Kawa Hotel, Te Araroa:
- During the winter months, that is, between the 1st day of April and the 30th day of September, both dates inclusive, in every year:
(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not beings days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 10 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 8 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On every Friday and Saturday (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o’clock in the evening.
- During the summer months, that is, between the 1st day of October and the 31st day of March, both days inclusive, in every year:
(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve, nor days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On every Christmas Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 11 o’clock in the evening.
(c) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Eve and the hour of closing 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.
