(b) The water is conducted through the intake control gate into concrete and steel penstocks, to the Dillmans powerhouse. A full flow by-pass controlled by a valve is also provided at Dillmans powerhouse.
(c) Dillmans powerhouse containing an inlet valve, water turbine generator, and all necessary equipment for generating electricity having a maximum capacity of 3800 kW.
(d) The water is discharged into an open race and continues to a second intake structure with a control gate at the head of the second concrete and steel penstock, and on to Kumara powerhouse.
(e) Kumara powerhouse, with inlet valve, water turbine generator, and all necessary equipment for generating electricity having a maximum capacity of 6000 kW.
(f) Tailrace from Kumara powerhouse to the Taramakau River.
All as shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 950, and deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

Further extending the Duration of Licence authorising the North Canterbury Electric Power Board to use Electric Lines within the North Canterbury Electric Power District and outer Area of South District
PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby amends the North Canterbury Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1959*, as amended by the amendments specified in the Schedule hereto, by extending the duration of the said licence from the 30th day of September 1977 until the 30th day of March 1978.

Fixing of Date for Limiting the Noise Emitted by New Motor Vehicles
PURSUANT to regulation 29 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 the Minister of Transport hereby fixes the 1st day of July 1978 as the date after which no person shall introduce, manufacture, or sell for first registration in New Zealand a motor vehicle the noise output of which when tested by a method approved by the Secretary, exceeds the levels specified in the First Schedule of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The Traffic (Waipukurau District and Waipawa County) Notice 1977
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice:
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waipukurau District and Waipawa County) Notice 1977.

The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

The notice, dated the 30th day of April 1956 (a*), under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, which relates to an area situated within Patangata County, is hereby revoked.

The notice, dated the 8th day of August 1958 (b*), under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, which relates to a road situated within Patangata County, is hereby revoked.

The notice, dated the 20th day of December 1967 (c*), under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, which relates to a road situated within Patangata County, is hereby revoked.

The Traffic (Waipukurau Borough, Waipukurau, and Waipawa Counties) Notice No. 1, 1969, dated the 9th day of October 1969 (d*), under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads within Waipukurau Borough, Waipukurau, and Waipawa Counties, is hereby revoked.

The Traffic (Waipukurau County) Notice No. 1, 1970, dated the 29th day of June 1970 (e*), under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to a road within Waipukurau County adjacent to Waipukurau Borough, is hereby revoked.
