Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Waikato Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Waikato Licensing Committee on 22 September 1977 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as Commercial Hotel, Waihi:

(a) On every Friday and Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve nor days on which licensed premises are required by law to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) and also on Christmas Eve, the hour of opening to be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing to be not later than 11 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day on which licensed premises are required by law to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening to be 11 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Eve and the hour of closing to be not later than 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

(c) With the condition that the licensee make provision for the supply of food—and the committee suggests sandwiches and pies—up until the closing of the bar.

Amending the Ward Representation of the Manawatu Pest Destruction Board (No. 1813 Ag. 6/13/2/6A)

PURSUANT to section 33 of the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, the Manawatu Pest Destruction Board hereby gives the following notice:

  1. The notice published in Gazette, No. 26, 4 September 1974, page 2019, is hereby amended by omitting from the Schedule thereto reference to the Hutt ward and the number of members to be elected for it.
