Notice of Acquisition of Public Reserve by the Crown to form part of the Muiata Pa Historic Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired as a reserve for historic purposes, subject to the provisions of Part V of the said Act to form part of the Muiata Pa Historic Reserve.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds under the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 in the Borough of Martinborough (No. 1812 Ag. 12/10/4/2)

PURSUANT to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Act 1953, for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following Special Order, made by the Martinborough Borough Council on the 12th day of September 1977, is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER
That, pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Martinborough Borough Council hereby declares by way of Special Order that the plants mentioned in the Schedule hereto are noxious weeds within the Borough of Martinborough.

SCHEDULE
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Boxthorn (Lycium ferocissimum syn. Lycium horridum).
Common broom (Cytisus scoparius).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Milk or variegated thistle (Silybum marianum).
Nodding thistle (Carduus nutans).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginose).

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Hurunui Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Hurunui Licensing Committee on 22 September 1977 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as Mandeville Hotel, Kaiapoi:
(a) On every Friday and Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve) and on Christmas Eve (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 11 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Eve and the hour of closing 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Waikato Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Waikato Licensing Committee on 22 September 1977 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as D.B. Frankton Hotel, Frankton:
(a) The opening of the premises before the usual hour of opening, namely, at the hour of 9 o’clock in the morning, on every Saturday.
(b) The closing of the premises before the usual hour of closing, namely, at the hour of 8 o’clock in the evening, every Saturday.
(c) In all other respects, the hours of opening and closing shall remain as the usual hours.

PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Waikato Licensing Committee on 22 September 1977 made orders authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to chartered club members, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the chartered club premises specified in the Schedule below:
(a) On every Friday and Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve nor days on which chartered clubs are required by law to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members) and also on Christmas Eve, the hour of closing to be not later than 11 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day on which chartered clubs are required by law to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members) the hour of closing to be not later than 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.
(c) With the condition that the licensee makes provision for the supply of food—and the committee suggests sandwiches and pies—up until the closing of the bar.

PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Waikato Licensing Committee on 2 September 1977 made an order revoking a previous order made by the committee on 10 February 1977 in respect of the licensed premises known as Rangiriri Tavern, Rangiriri, as published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 23, on 3 March 1977, page 462.
