Approval of Motor Cycle Riding School

PURSUANT to regulation 19D (5) of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Transport hereby approves the motor cycle riding school listed in the Schedule hereto to the effect that it may issue certificates of riding instruction to enable a person to obtain a full licence to drive a motor cycle in accordance with regulation 19D of the said Regulations:

Southland Motor Cycle Training School under the auspices of the Motor Vehicle Dealers Institute (Inc.) (Southland Branch).

The Traffic (Waimea County) Notice 1977

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waimea County) Notice 1977.
  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The notice, dated the 12th day of September 1952*, under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, which relates to roads situated in Murchison County, is hereby revoked.
  4. The notice, dated the 8th day of January 1958†, under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, which relates to a road situated within Waimea County, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE
George Street.
Cromwell Street.
Hampden Street.
Brunner Street.
Milton Street.

Hotham Street: from a point 80 metres measured westerly generally along the said street from Fairfax Street to a point 150 metres measured easterly generally along the said road from Fairfax Street.

Fairfax Street: from a point 800 metres measured southerly generally along the said street from State Highway 6 (Blenheim to Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth).

No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim to Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth): from a point 230 metres measured westerly generally along the said State highway from Fairfax Street to a point 180 metres measured easterly generally along the said State highway from Milton Street.

Notice Respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of Christchurch City and Waimairi County

It is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, pursuant to section 12 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto be excluded from the area of Waimairi County and be included in the area of Christchurch City.

All persons affected, who object to the proposed alteration of boundaries are hereby called upon to lodge any objections to, or petitions against, the proposed alteration with the Minister of Local Government, Parliament Buildings, Wellington, within one month from the date of publication of this notice.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT—WAIMAIRI COUNTY
Lots 24, 25, 26, 27; part Lots 22 and 23; D.P. 1491, and part Rural Section 302, situated in Blocks XI, Christchurch Survey District: area, 1.9614 hectares, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 796, folio 19 of the Canterbury Registry.
