Notice to Make Payment of Land Tax under the Land and Income Tax Act 1954

PURSUANT to the Land and Income Tax Act 1954, notice is hereby given as follows:

Land tax on land, held as at 31st day of March, 1976, shall be due and payable in one sum, on the 7th day of October 1976, at any office of the Inland Revenue Department or at any post office with savings bank facilities.

Electrical Supply Regulations 1976—Approved Safety Rules to be Adopted and Issued

NOTICE is hereby given that

(1) The safety rules in the Safety Manual, third edition, dated April 1976, published by the Electric Supply Authority Engineers’ Institute of New Zealand, have been approved for the purposes of regulation 122 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976.

(2) The approval of the safety rules in the Safety Manual, second edition, dated April 1968, published by the Electric Supply Authority Engineers’ Institute of New Zealand, will be withdrawn on 31 October 1976 and shall cease to have effect as and from that date.

Redefining the Boundaries of the Te Kuiti Abattoir District and Notifying the Change of Name of the Controlling Authority of the Te Kuiti Abattoir, the Te Kuiti Abattoir District, and the Te Kuiti Abattoir (No. 1526 Ag. 15/10/2/40)

PURSUANT to section 15 (5) of the Meat Act 1964, and to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries for the purpose of the said subsection, notice is hereby given as follows:

  1. The Te Kuiti Abattoir District, and the Te Kuiti abattoir shall henceforth be called the Waitomo Abattoir District, and the Waitomo abattoir, respectively.

  2. The Waitomo District Council shall henceforth be the controlling authority of the abattoir vice the former Te Kuiti Borough Council.

  3. The Waitomo Abattoir District shall henceforth comprise all the area in the Waitomo District, as from time to time constituted, but excluding the Pio Pio community and also all that area within a distance of 5 kilometres from the boundary of the Pio Pio community.

The notice No. 84, dated the 10th day of December 1968, redefining the boundaries of the Te Kuiti Abattoir District, and published in the Gazette on the 19th day of December 1968, at page 2426, is hereby consequently revoked.

Environmental Impact Report Notified—Thermo-Mechanical Pulp Mill, Karioi State Forest

THE Commission for the Environment gives notice that it has received an environmental impact report on a proposal to establish a thermo-mechanical mill based on the Karioi State Forest. Representations in writing on the environmental aspects of the project, as it is explained in the report, will be received at the office of the Commission, P.O. Box 71-244, Manners Street, Wellington, until Thursday, 30 September 1976.

Copies of the report may be purchased from Winstone Limited, P.O. Box 395, 69 Queen Street, Auckland, at a cost of $5 each. Copies may be seen at the public libraries at Wanganui, Raetihi, Ohakune, Waiouru, Taihape, and Auck-
