WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and their respective amendments: Notice is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely, for street purposes at Ghuznee Street in the City of Wellington and for the purpose of that public work the land, described in the Schedule hereto, is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land which is required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said council in the Municipal Offices Building, Mercer Street, in the said city and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during the hours of 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., Monday to Friday, and that any person affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, send his written objection within 40 days from the first publication of this notice of the Secretary, Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, Private Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington. And notice is hereby further given that if any objection is made as aforesaid a public hearing of that objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of that hearing and at that hearing each objector will be advised of the reason for the proposed taking.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing twenty-three and thirty-seven one-hundredths perches (23.37 perches) more or less, situate in the City of Wellington, being part of Section 171 of the Town of Wellington, being also (as to part) Lot 2, D.P. 11727, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, 481/15 Wellington Registry.

NOTE: More commonly known as 88 Ghuznee Street, Wellington.

The recording will be sold as a disc ($7) and cassette ($7.50). The release date is 31 August 1976. Other works in the recording, not subject to royalties, are “O Sacred Head”, Hans Leo Hassler (16th century), and “O Come O Come Emmanuel” (traditional 12th century). All inquiries, please, to Mr G.
