Notice is hereby given that submissions relating to the Tariff Chapters, listed in the Schedule below, are required not later than 30 September 1976.

Submissions should be forwarded to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities, mentioned in the Schedule hereto, of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land, described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a marae and burial ground for the common use and benefit of the Ngati Kahungunu people.

ALL that piece of land, situated in Block XIII, Opoti Survey District and described as follows:

Cancelling the Reservation of Maori Freehold Land

Notice is hereby given, that pursuant to section 439 (5) (b) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the reservation of Maori freehold land, described in the Schedule hereto, set apart for the purpose of a marae and meeting place for the common use and benefit of the Ngati Tuwharetoa tribe, constituted by notice, dated 12 June 1972 and published in Gazette, No. 49, of 15 June 1972, page 1257, is hereby cancelled.

  2. The notice, referred to in the First Schedule hereto, is hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.
