Revoking in Part a Proclamation Taking Land for Soil Conservation and River Control Purposes in Blocks X and XI, Puketi Survey District, Taupo County

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation, dated 31 July 1974, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, of 8 August 1974, at page 1649, taking land for soil conservation and river control purposes in so far as it affects the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also hereby revoke the Proclamation, dated 19 February 1975, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, of 27 February 1975, at page 364, taking land for soil conservation and river control purposes, in so far as it affects the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL those pieces of land situated in Block XI, Puketi Survey District, described as follows:

ALL those pieces of land, situated in Blocks X and XI, Puketi Survey District, described as follows:

An Easement over Land Taken for Soil Conservation and River Control Purposes in Block XI, Puketi Survey District, Taupo County

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the easement, described in the First Schedule hereto, is hereby taken for soil conservation and river control purposes over the land, described in the Second Schedule hereto, and shall vest in the Waikato Valley Authority as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect, on and after the 12th day of August 1976.

FIRST SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

Description of Easement

  1. In this Schedule the term “grantor” means the owner of the land over which an easement is to be acquired, and the term “grantee” means the Waikato Valley Authority.

  2. The full and free right liberty license and authority in perpetuity for the Waikato Valley Authority to do and carry out the following on the land, described in the Second Schedule hereto:

(a) To construct and use a right of way, with the right for the authority’s engineers, officers, agents, and workmen to go, pass, and re-pass with or without vehicles and machinery over and along the said land, and to maintain, repair, and keep open the said right of way.
