Amending a Declaration Taking Land for Soil Conservation and River Control Purposes in Block XII, Heretaunga Survey District, Hawke's Bay County

PURSUANT to section 330A of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby amends the Declaration, dated the 15th day of January 1976, and published in Gazette, No. 10, 29 January 1976, at page 198, declaring land taken for soil conservation and river control purposes in Block XII, Heretaunga Survey District, Hawke's Bay County, pursuant to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, by omitting the Schedule and substituting the following Schedule.

SCHEDULE

HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT

ALL those pieces of land situated in Block XII, Heretaunga Survey District, described as follows:

Declaring Land Taken for Housing Purposes in the City of Wellington

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land, described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby taken for housing purposes and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington, from and after the 29th day of July 1976.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 12.1 perches, situated in the City of Wellington, being part Section 8, Evans Bay District, and being Lot 21, D.P. 2307. All certificate of title, Volume 224, folio 194, Wellington Land Registry.

Declaring Land Taken for the Transmission of Electricity in the City of Manukau

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land, described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby taken for the transmission of electricity, from and after the 29th day of July 1976.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 850 square metres, situated in the City of Manukau and being Lot 332, D.P. 77824. All certificate of title No. 34A/730, North Auckland Land Registry.

Appointing the Chairman and Two Members of the Engineering Associates Registration Board

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Engineering Associates Registration Act 1961, the Minister of Works and Development hereby appoints

Charles Joseph Tustin, Esquire, civil engineer, of Lower Hutt as Chairman of the Board;

Cyril John Mulley Choat, Esquire, retired mechanical engineer, of Wellington, a member of the Board; and

James Douglas Ellis, Esquire, of Lower Hutt, electrical engineer, as a member of the Board.

The appointments of Messrs Tustin and Choat are for terms of two years commencing on the 1st day of April 1976, and the appointment of Mr Ellis is for a term of two years commencing on the 17th day of May 1976.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block III, Waihou Survey District, Hauraki Plains County, for Soil Conservation and River Control Purposes

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for soil conservation and river-control purposes the land, described in the Schedule hereto, such land to be used for the construction of stopbanks and flood-control works; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land, so required to be taken, is deposited in the post office at Paeroa and is there open for inspection; that all persons directly affected by the taking of the said land, should, if they have any objection to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice, to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 9350 square metres, situated in Block III, Waihou Survey District, being part Kurinui Block, as shown on plan S.O. 48461, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Hamilton, and thereon marked "F". The said piece of land is situated on the banks of the Waihou River near Wharepoa Road.

Land Proclaimed as Road and Road Closed and Vested in Blocks XII and XV, Waimata Survey District, Cook County

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, the Minister of Works and Development hereby proclaims as road the land, described in the First Schedule hereto, which land shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cook, and also hereby proclaims that the road, described in the Second Schedule hereto, is hereby closed and shall, when so closed, vest in Henry Heatley Dods, of Repongaere, sheep farmer, and Malcolm Graham Dobson, of Gisborne, accountant, as executors of the will of Martin Bertram Mander.
