Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land, described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a scenic and historic reserve and for the common use and benefit of the Ngati Te Ahi and Ngati He hapu.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation
Pursuant to section 439 (1) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land, described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a marae and a burial ground in the manner following:
That portion containing 0.72085 ha (1 acre 3 roods 05 perches), being the western severance thereof, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a burial ground for the common use and benefit of the Ngati Tamaterangi people and the people of New Zealand generally; and That portion of the said land containing 1.07494 ha (2 acres 2 roods 25 perches), being the eastern severance thereof, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a marae for the common use and benefit of the Ngati Tamaterangi people.
