NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1928
NOTICE is hereby given that the Chairman, Councillors, and
Inhabitants of the County of Chatham Islands require to
take the lands, described in the First and Second Schedules
hereto, for the purposes of a public work, namely, a road.
Notice is hereby further given that the plan of the said
lands (No. S.O. 25933) is open to inspection by all persons
at the following places:
- The office of the Chatham Islands County Council, Waitangi, Chatham Islands; and
- The offices of Messrs Macalister, Mazengarb, Parkin &
Rose, Solicitors, National Bank Building, Featherston
Street, Wellington.
Every person affected by such taking is hereby called upon
to set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make
to the taking of the said lands or any of them, not being
an objection to the amount or payment of compensation,
and to send such written objection, within 40 days from
the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, Chatham
Islands County Council, Waitangi, Chatham Islands. If any
objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public
hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector
otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the
time and place of the hearing.
FIRST SCHEDULE
That parcel of land containing two decimal nine seven six nine
(2.9769) hectares, situated in the Chatham Islands County,
being part Pitt Island, and being part of the land contained
in certificate of title, Volume 144, folio 288 (Wellington
Registry), and being shown coloured sepia in the plan lodged
with the Chief Surveyor, Wellington, under No. S.O. 25933.
SECOND SCHEDULE
That parcel of land containing forty-five (45) square metres,
situated in the Chatham Islands County, and being also Part
Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 1090, and being part of the land
contained in certificate of title, Volume 443, folio 76 (Wellington
Registry), and being shown coloured blue in the plan
lodged with the Chief Surveyor, Wellington, under No. S.O.
25933.
