PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His
Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following
appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations,
and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army:

REGULAR FORCE

ROYAL REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY

Major Maurice David Stanley, M.B.E., is posted to the Retired
List with effect from 23 March 1976.

Lieutenant Alan William Goodwin is transferred to the
Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal Regiment of N.Z.
Artillery, in the rank of Lieutenant with effect from 25 April
1976.

2nd Lieutenant Joseph Toha Smallman resigns his commis-
sion with effect from 1 April 1976.

Supernumerary List

Major Alan Ross Vail, A.N.Z.I.M., is transferred to the
Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal Regiment of N.Z.
Artillery, in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, with effect from
29 April 1976.

ROYAL N.Z. ARMOURED CORPS

Lieutenant Colonel B. Quinn to be acting Colonel with
effect from 15 March 1976 and temp. Colonel with effect
from 18 March 1976.

Lieutenant G. R. Ready to be temp. Captain with effect
from 12 April 1976.

Lieutenant K. R. Brown to be temp. Captain with effect
from 16 December 1975.

THE CORPS OF ROYAL N.Z. ENGINEERS

Captain and Quartermaster Geoffrey Newman Stevenson,
A.N.Z.I.M., is posted to the Retired List with effect from 3
April 1976.

ROYAL N.Z. CORPS OF SIGNALS

Captain Martin David Burke is posted to the Retired List
with effect from 21 April 1976.

Supernumerary List

Captain and Quartermaster John Bramwell Booth is posted
to the Retired List with effect from 29 April 1976.

ROYAL N.Z. INFANTRY REGIMENT

Major Michael John Goulden is transferred to the Reserve
of Officers, General List, Royal N.Z. Infantry Regiment, in
the rank of Major with effect from 25 February 1976.

Captain (temp. Major) B. Hill to be Major with seniority
and effect from 30 September 1975.

Captain S. F. Hall is re-engaged until 7 January 1981.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) R. J. Seymour is re-engaged
until retiring age for rank.

Lieutenant B. W. F. Morrison to be temp. Captain with
effect from 1 January 1976.

Lieutenant G. T. Vercoe is re-engaged until 5 January
1983.

2nd Lieutenant K. D. Smith to be Lieutenant with seniority
and effect from 1 August 1975.

Staff Cadet Richard John Howarth is appointed to a com-
mission in the rank of 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) with effect
from 1 December 1975.

The commission of 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) Richard
John Howarth lapses with effect from 16 April 1976.

ROYAL N.Z. ARMY ORDNANCE CORPS

Lieutenant Colonel Clifford Leaman Sanderson is posted
to the Retired List with effect from 4 May 1976.

Captain Paul Edwin Dangerfield is transferred to the
Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal N.Z. Army Ordnance
Corps, in the rank of Captain with effect from 20 April
1976.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain and Quartermaster) James Wil-
liam Twist is posted to the Retired List in the rank of
Captain and Quartermaster with effect from 23 April 1976.

ROYAL N.Z. DENTAL CORPS

Captain A. D. Collie, B.D.S., is re-engaged until 12 October
1977.

ROYAL N.Z. ARMY EDUCATION CORPS

Major G. N. Smith, B.A., M.ED., DIP.TCHG., DIP.ED., A.N.Z.I.M.:
with reference to the notice published in the Gazette, 19
February 1976, No. 18, p. 366, for the date "15 June 1977",

ROYAL N.Z. NURSING CORPS

Matron H. J. Macann, A.R.R.C., DIP.N., is re-engaged until
13 July 1977.

Charge Sister J. H. Parker is re-engaged until 21 April
1977.

Kathryn Ann Forrester is appointed to a commission in
the rank of Sister with seniority from 21 October 1975 and
effect from 21 April 1976, for duty with Army Training
Group Hospital, Waiouru.

N.Z. WOMEN'S ROYAL ARMY CORPS

2nd Lieutenant E. M. Barrett to be Lieutenant with seniority
and effect from 23 April 1976.

Gregory James Thwaite is appointed to a commission in
the rank of 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) with effect from

2nd Lieutenant Anthony James Healy resigns his commis-
sion with effect from 9 March 1976.

is cancelled with effect from 8 April 1976.

Lieutenant G. C. Turner to be temp. Captain with effect
from 1 December 1975.

Michael Herbert Rattray is appointed to a commission in

February 1976.

rank of 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) with effect from 19 February

for a term of one year with effect from 1 April 1976.

is confirmed with effect from 21 February 1974.
