Pursuant to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that,
sufficient agreements to that effect having been entered into,
the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken sub-
ject as to the land firstly described to outstanding grant of
easement No. 63304 (105/16) for the Christchurch Southern
motorway, from and after the 13th day of May 1976.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the
Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be
Utilised
Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for
road purposes over the land, described in the Schedule hereto,
and further declares that the said land may be disposed of
by the Waimairi County Council at current market value,
the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the Council’s
reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in
or towards the improvement of other public reserves under
the control of the Council, or in or towards the purchase
of other land for public reserves.

Scenic Reserve
Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby appoints John Joseph Duffy, Malcolm
Graham Howden, Robert Dugald McKenzie, Robert H. Mor-
ton, Campbell S. Sellars, John Sinclair, John William Suther-
land, Eric Clarence Williams, and the Commissioner of Crown
Lands for the Southland Land District, ex officio, to be the
Seaward Downs Scenic Reserve Board to have control of
the reserve described in the Schedule hereto subject to the
provisions of the said Act as a reserve for scenic purposes.
