Declaring a Public Reserve Vested in the Thames Hospital
Board to be Crown Land
PURSUANT to section 69 (4) of the Hospital Act 1957, the
Minister of Health hereby declares that that part of the
Public Hospital Reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, is
no longer required for hospital purposes and shall vest in
the Crown as Crown land, subject to the Land Act 1948.

The Penal Institutions (Police Jails) Notice 1976
PURSUANT to the Penal Institutions Act 1954, the Minister of
Justice hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited
as the Penal Institutions (Police Jails) Notice 1976.
(2) This notice shall take effect from the 1st day of June - Certain police stations ceasing to be police jails-
(1) Clause 4 of the Penal Institutions Notice (No. 3) 1959,
to the extent that it declares the police stations at Kaikohe,
Kaitaia, Nelson, Opotiki, and Wairoa to be police jails, is
hereby revoked.
(2) Clause 4 of the Penal Institutions Notice (No. 3) 1959
(as amended by clause 2 of the Penal Institutions Notice
(No. 4) 1965†, clause 2 of the Penal Institutions Notice
(No. 2) 1969†, and by clause 2 of the Penal Institutions
Notice (No. 3) 1972§) is hereby amended by omitting the
words "the following places, namely, the Chatham Islands,
Gisborne, Kaikohe, Kaitaia, Nelson, Opotiki, and Wairoa",
and substituting the words "the Chatham Islands and Gis-
borno".

Order for Exemption From Filing Annually the Sixth Schedule
Return Under the Life Insurance Act 1908 (as Amended
by the Life Insurance Amendment Act 1974)

the Sixth Schedule returns annually under section 18 (1) of

Authorisation of the New Zealand Trade Fair 1976 (Wellington)
PURSUANT to the Exhibitions Act 1910, the Minister of Trade
and Industry hereby gives notice as follows: - In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires-
"The Act" means the Exhibitions Act 1910;
"The promoter" means the Wellington Show Association
Inc.;
"The exhibition" means a public exhibition of works of
industry and art to be conducted by the promoter at
the Wellington Show Buildings from the 6th day of
May 1976 to the 22nd day of May 1976 (both days
inclusive), and to be known as the New Zealand
Trade Fair 1976 (Wellington). - The exhibition is hereby authorised and declared to be an
exhibition within the meaning of the Act. - Subject to the conditions set out in the Schedule hereto,
the following provisions are hereby suspended in so far as
they relate to work done or business conducted or services
rendered in the said premises during the period of the exhibi-
tion, by or on behalf of the promoter, or by or on behalf of
any exhibitor at the exhibition, or by any person employed in
or about the exhibition, namely-such of the provisions of-
(a) The Industrial Relations Act 1973 and all collective
agreements and awards in force thereunder;
(b) The Shops and Offices Act 1955; and
(c) The Factories Act 1946
as relate to the hours of commencing or ceasing work, or to
the issue of permits, or to the payment for overtime, or
extended hours, or to holidays and half-holidays, or to the
closing of shops.
SCHEDULE - Forty hours shall constitute a week's work, to be worked
on 5 days of the week, and 8 hours shall constitute a day's
work in or about the exhibition, and with the exception
set out in clause 2 hereof, the daily hours shall be worked
consecutively. - No person shall be employed in or about the exhibition
for more than 4 hours without an interval of at least three-
quarters of an hour for a meal. - (a) Any person employed during any day in or about
the exhibition who is employed on that day for more than
8 hours, or before the hour of 8 a.m., or after the hour
of 10.30 p.m., or on any day in excess of 5 days per week
(whether the excess employment is in or about the exhibition
or otherwise) shall be paid for the excess employment at not
less than half as much again as the ordinary rate for the first
2 hours and at not less than twice the ordinary rate there-
after.
(b) Any person employed in or about the exhibition on any
day that would, but for the provisions of this order, have been
a whole holiday for that person by virtue of any Act, or of
