LYTTELTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of Lyttelton Borough on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $100,000 to be known as the Library Loan 1975 for the purpose of constructing and furnishing a new public library in Lyttelton together with the necessary ground works and retaining wall, resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 93
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 188
The number of informal votes was 8
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

Classification under Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, of Land in the Southland Catchment District

Notice is hereby given that the land in the part of the Southland Catchment District described in the Schedule hereto has been classified under the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and the classification is deemed a valid classification as from the date on which this notice is first published, namely, 14 April 1976.

DEFINITION OF THE CATTLE FLAT RATING DISTRICT

All the lands within the Southland Catchment District shown edged in red on Classification Plan S.G.B. No. B. 50/11 and 12, deposited for inspection during office hours at the offices of the Southland Catchment Board, 143 Spey Street, Invercargill.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week. Notices from Government departments must be received by the Gazette Clerk, Department of Internal Affairs, by noon on Tuesdays. Advertisements will be accepted by the Government Printer until noon on Wednesdays.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 10c per line.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.
