PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori Land Board hereby gives notice as follows.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Wanganui 1976, No. 9.

  2. The notices referred to in the First Schedule are hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

The Commerce Act 1975—Decision of the Commerce Commission

PUBLIC notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 130 of the Commerce Act 1975, that the Commerce Commission in the matter of an application by the C.S.S.O. to take part in an inquiry, pursuant to section 104 (1) (b) of the Act, relating to beer has resolved:

(1) To admit C.S.S.O. as a party to the inquiry proceedings presently before the commission, C.S.S.O. being, in terms of section 14 (1) (h), a person who represents persons to whom the goods to which the inquiry relates are sold or supplied, whose appearance would, in the opinion of the Commission, assist the Commission to ascertain the views of consumers of those goods.

(2) Pursuant to section 15 (2), to grant leave to C.S.S.O. to adduce evidence and to cross-examine witnesses during the inquiry proceedings presently before the commission.

(3) To make an order or orders, in terms of section 15 (3), relating to the supply of information, particulars, or documents to the agent of C.S.S.O., Mr R. J. Campbell, and to such other named person or persons as the commission thinks fit upon representations being made to it.

The Commerce Act 1975—Decision of the Commerce Commission

PUBLIC notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 130 of the Commerce Act 1975, that the Commerce Commission, in the matter of an application by the C.S.S.O. and CARP (Wellington) to be joined in the proceedings of an appeal by the New Zealand Association of Bakers (Inc.) against a decision of the Secretary of Trade and Industry relating to the price of bread, has:

(1) Unanimously resolved to decline the admission of CARP (Wellington) to take part in the appeal proceedings presently before the commission.

(2) By a majority of the commission has resolved to admit the C.S.S.O. to the appeal proceedings, presently before the commission, upon the grounds that the C.S.S.O. has in the opinion of the Commission, a substantial interest in the subject-matter of the application.
