ORDER

This order may be cited as the Union of Otekaike,
Waitaki, and Upper Waihao Pest Destruction Districts Order
1974, Amendment No. 1 and shall be read together with and
deemed part of the Union of Otekaike, Waitaki, and Upper
Waihao Pest Destruction District Order 1974* (hereinafter
referred to as the principal order). -
The Schedule to the principal order is hereby amended by
omitting the words "Otekaike Pest Destruction District Order,
Gazette 1949, p. 622", and substituting the words "Otekaike
Pest Destruction District, Gazette 1954, p. 1730".

THE RIGHT HON. R. D. MULDOON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 175 (2) and subject to sections 176 to
182 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, hereby authorises the Mount Roskill
Borough Council to reclaim from Boat Bay, Manukau Har-
bour, an area of 948 square metres, more or less, of Auckland
Harbour Board endowment land, as shown coloured pink on
plan M.D. (N) 190, and deposited in the office of the
Ministry of Transport at Auckland.

Exempting Land in Westland Land District from the Operation
of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925
DENIS BLUNDELL, Governor-General
PURSUANT to section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I,
Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, do hereby exempt the land described in the Schedule
hereto from the operation of Part III of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT-RUNANGA BOROUGH
SECTION 12, Block XL, Runanga Village Settlement, situated
in Block III Cobden Survey District: area, 758 square metres,
more or less, and Lot 10, Block IV, D.P. 148, being part
Section 4, Square 124, situated in Block III, Cobden Survey
District: area, 607 square metres, more or less.
Reserving, nevertheless, unto the Crown firstly, in terms
of section 168A of the Coal Mines Act 1925, all coal existing
in its natural condition on or under the surface of the said
land, and secondly in terms of section 8 of the Mining Act
1971, every mineral existing in its natural condition on or
under the surface of the said land.
As witness, the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 6th day of April 1976.

PURSUANT to section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I,
Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, do hereby exempt the land described in the Schedule
hereto from the operation of Part III of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT-GREY COUNTY
RURAL Sections 5098 to 5107 (inclusive), situated in Block II,
Mawheranui Survey District: area, 157.8979 hectares, more
or less. Part certificates of title, Volume 2C, folio 329, and
Volume 2C, folio 103 (S.O. Plan 5973).
Reserving, nevertheless, unto the Crown firstly, in terms
of section 168A of the Coal Mines Act 1925, all coal existing
in its natural condition on or under the surface of the said
land, and secondly in terms of section 8 of the Mining Act
1971, every mineral existing in its natural condition on or
under the surface of the said land.
As witness, the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 6th day of April 1976.

Warrant Appointing a Member of the Industrial Relations
Council Under the Industrial Relations Act 1973

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Industrial Relations Act 1973,
I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby appoint
William Douglas Leuchars
of Wellington, company director, to be a member of the
Industrial Relations Council for the residue of the term for
which Arnold Frank Crothall, who has now resigned his
office, had been appointed, which term expires on the 23rd day
of June 1977.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 22nd day of January 1976.

Appointment
Sub Lieutenant Dennis George Stevens, with reference to
the notice published in the Gazette, 23 April 1975, No. 35,
p. 917, after "11 March 1975" insert "with seniority 11 March
1973".
Promotion
Sub Lieutenant Cyril Wilfred Gray to be Lieutenant with
seniority and effect from 30 March 1976.
Resignations
Sub Lieutenant John Robert Meldrum resigns his cadet
commission with effect from 26 February 1976.
Sub Lieutenant Stephen Kenneth Lisk resigns his cadet
commission with effect from 4 January 1976.
Transfer
Sub Lieutenant B. E. Dorsey is transferred from T. S.
Achilles to T. S. Leander with effect from 2 March 1976.
AIR TRAINING CORPS
Flight Lieutenant John Barnett Lockett to be appointed
Unit Commander with effect from 1 April 1976.
Flying Officer John Allan Waters: The notice published
in the Gazette, 30 October 1975, No. 93, p. 2386, is can-
celled and the following substituted:
"John Allan Waters is appointed to a cadet commission
in the rank of Flying Officer for a period of three years
with seniority and effect from 11 September 1975."
Flying Officer Mark Joseph Gleason to be appointed Unit
Commander with effect from 16 January 1976.
Flying Officer Garrick Neville Carter to be appointed Unit
Commander with effect from 31 March 1976.
Mark Joseph Gleason is appointed to a cadet commission
in the rank of Flying Officer for a period of three years
with seniority and effect from 16 January 1976.
Pilot Officer Allan Roger Barnett: with reference to the
notice published in the Gazette, 24 July 1975, No. 62, p. 1613,
for "29 July 1974" substitute "29 September 1974".
James Wayne Summerfield is appointed to a cadet com-
mission in the rank of Pilot Officer on probation for a
period of three years with seniority and effect from 29 Feb-
ruary 1976.
