  1. Terminal Charge—In addition to the above rates, a charge of 20c for each 26 kg or part thereof will be made for each parcel (except parcels chargeable on grouped weight vide section 54, paragraph 6 (b)) consigned to the following stations:

North Island

Auckland.
Hamilton (including Frankton.)
New Plymouth.
Hawera.
Wanganui.

South Island

Palmerston North.
Wellington.
Petone.
Lower Hutt.
Gracefield.
Christchurch.
Dunedin.
Invercargill.

  1. Conditions—(a) The department does not undertake to convey packages exceeding 102 kg in weight or 0.6m³ in measurement at parcels rates, but where any such package is tendered for transit it may be accepted provided the dimensions or weight of the package are such as will not cause inconvenience in handling. Where any such parcel is accepted for transit the charges for the weight in excess of 102 kg will be treated as a separate consignment.
    (b) Parcels must be at the station at least 30 minutes before the due time of departure of the train by which they are to be forwarded.

  1. Storage—Parcels traffic not delivered within the periods indicated will be charged storage as follows:
Articles and packages conveyed at parcels rates, not otherwise specified. Day of Arrival and Seven Consecutive Days Thereafter Per Week or Part of a Week Thereafter
Two or more articles or packages charged on grouped weight Free 13c per package.
Computed on total weight of each consignment at a rate of 18c per 51 kg or fraction of 51 kg
Motor cycles Day of Arrival and Day Thereafter Per Day or Part of a Day Thereafter
Free 18c

  1. Parcels Not Claimed within six months may be sold.

  2. Fresh Fruit, Fresh Vegetables, Fresh Mushrooms, and Nuts

  3. Charges—Except as provided in paragraphs 2, 3, and 4 hereof, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, fresh mushrooms, and nuts grown and packed in New Zealand (including Cook Islands or Niue) in consignments not exceeding 102 kg in weight, whether conveyed as excess luggage or consigned, will be charged as follows:
