OMATAROA WARD

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Whaka-
tane County, containing 132 square kilometres, more or less,
bounded by a line commencing at the middle of the mouth
of the Rangitaiki River Block V, Awaateatua Survey District,
and proceeding south-easterly along the seacoast to the middle
of the end of Eastern Boundary Road in Block IA, Whakatane
Survey District, thence generally south-easterly along the
middle of that road, State Highway Number 2 and Paroa
Road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary
of Lot 6, D.P. 20328, to and along that boundary and its
production to the middle of Board Mills Road, along the
middle of that road to a point in line with the south-eastern
boundary of Allotment 29V3B, Parish of Rangitaiki, to
and along that boundary and its production to the middle
of Fortune Road and along the middle of that road to
its intersection with the middle of the afore-mentioned Paroa
Road; thence north-westerly along the middle of that road
to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot
3, D.P. S. 10213; thence north-easterly to and along that
boundary, and its production to the middle of the Whakatane
River; thence generally south-easterly up the middle of that
river to a point in line with the southern boundary of
Allotment 31J, Parish of Rangitaiki, situated in Block IX,
Whakatane Survey District; thence westerly to and along
that southern boundary crossing Taneatua Road and the
East Coast Main Trunk Railway, and the northern boundary
of part Allotment 32N, Parish of Rangitaiki, to the north-
western corner of that allotment; thence generally southerly
along the eastern and southern boundaries of part Allot-
ment 32O, Parish of Rangitaiki, the western and southern
boundaries of part Allotment 32E5A, Parish of Rangi-
taiki, and the western boundaries of parts Allotments 32E5B

of a public road; thence generally north-easterly along the
middle of that road to a point in Block VIII, Whakatane
Survey District, in line with the northern boundary of
Omataroa Rangitaiki 1 Block; thence north-westerly to and
along the generally northern boundaries of the said Omataroa
Rangitaiki 1 Block, south-western boundaries of Allotment
11C and part Allotment 11, Parish of Rangitaiki, situated
in Block VII, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, and the
last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of State
Highway 30; thence north-easterly along the middle of that
State Highway to a point in line with the south-western
boundary of part Lot 3, D.P. 18069; thence generally north-
westerly to and along that boundary and the south-eastern
and north-eastern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 18069 and the
last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of Western
Drain Road; thence north-easterly along the middle of that
road to its intersection with the middle of McLean Road;
thence north-westerly along the middle of McLean Road
to a point in line with the middle of Western Drain; thence
north-easterly along the middle of that drain to a point in
line with the north-western boundary of Section 8S, Orini
Settlement, situated in Block IV, Rangitaiki Upper Survey
District; thence generally south-westerly to and along that
boundary, and the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P.
S. 7761, and its production to the middle of Reid's Central
Canal; thence generally north-easterly down the middle of
that canal to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary

along that boundary, the south-eastern and south-western

boundary produced to the middle of East Bank North
Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of that road to

a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1,
D.P. S. 5735; thence north-westerly along the production
of that boundary to the middle of the Rangitaiki River;
thence generally north-easterly down the middle of that
river to the point of commencement.

EDGE'CUMBE WARD

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Whaka-
tane County, containing 51 square kilometres, more or less,
bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of
the Rangitaiki River in line with the north-eastern boundary
of Lot 3, D.P. 11085, situated in Block IV, Awaateatua
Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Matata
Ward hereinbefore described, and proceeding easterly along
the boundary of that ward to and generally south-easterly
and south-westerly along the generally western boundary of
the Omataroa Ward, hereinbefore described to the inter-
section of the middle of State Highway 30 with the middle of
Maunder's Road; thence south-westerly along the middle
of the said State highway to a point in line with the north-
eastern boundary of part Lot 3, D.P. 32086, situated in Block
VII, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District; thence generally
north-westerly along that boundary and the generally northern
boundaries of that part Lot 3 and the last-mentioned
boundary produced to the middle of Western Drain Road;
thence generally north-easterly along the middle of that
road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of
the land on D.P. 23153 being part Omataroa No. 1A
Block; thence generally north-westerly to and along that
boundary, the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of
Lot 1, D.P. 33363 and the last-mentioned boundary produced
to the middle of East Bank South Road; thence northerly
along the middle of that road to a point in line with the
southern boundary of Omataroa No. 1B2B2 Block; thence
westerly to and along that boundary and its production to the
middle of the Rangitaiki River; thence generally north-
westerly down the middle of that river to a point in line
with the south-western boundary of Matata No. 72B3W2B4B
Block, to and along that boundary, the south-eastern
boundaries of Lots 3 and 2, D.P. 23765, and the western
boundaries of the said Lot 2 to the south-eastern corner of
Lot 3, D.P. S. 4182, being a point on the generally eastern
boundary of the afore-mentioned Matata Ward; thence
generally north-easterly along that generally eastern boundary
to the point of commencement.

WHAKATANE WARD

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Whaka-
tane County and Borough, containing 66 square kilometres,
more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the
shore of the Bay of Plenty being the middle of the end of East-
ern Boundary Road in Block 1A, Whakatane Survey District,
and being a point on the northern boundary of the Whakatane
County as described in New Zealand Gazette 1970, page 198,
and proceeding generally south-easterly and south-westerly
along that boundary to its intersection with the western side
of Wainui Road in Block VI, Whakatane Survey District;
thence generally north-westerly along that side to the northern-
most corner of Allotment 566, Waimana Parish; thence
generally south-westerly along the north-western boundary of
the said 566, the south-eastern, southern and north-western
boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. S. 15704, the northern and western
boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 29595 and the southern boundary
of part Lot 3, D.P. 24302 to the south-western corner of that
lot; thence northerly and westerly along the eastern and
northern boundaries of part Lot 3, D.P. 10439 to the
eastern side of State Highway 2; thence south-westerly along
a right line to the south-eastern corner of Allotment 15,
Waimana Parish; thence westerly along the southern
boundary of that allotment and its production to the middle
of the Whakatane River being a point on the boundary of
the Omataroa Ward as hereinbefore described; thence
generally north-westerly and northerly along that boundary
to the point of commencement.

TARAWERA WARD

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Whaka-
tane County, containing 312 square kilometres, more or less,
bounded by a line commencing at the intersection in Block
XI, Rotoma Survey District, of the middle of State Highway
30 and the western boundary of the Whakatane County as
described in New Zealand Gazette 1970, page 198, being
a point on the southern boundary of the Matata Ward as
hereinbefore described and proceeding generally north-
easterly along that boundary to and south-easterly along the
boundary of the Edgecumbe Ward as hereinbefore described
to and generally southerly along the boundaries of the
Omataroa Ward, as hereinbefore described, to the northern-
most corner of Omataroa Rangitaiki 1 Block in VII, Rangi-
taiki Upper Survey District; thence generally southerly along
the western boundaries of that block and Omataroa 10A
Block and the generally western boundaries of the said
Omataroa Rangitaiki 1 Block and to a point in Block XV,
Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, in line with the southern
