Law Practitioners Act 1955

PURSUANT to the Law Practitioners Act 1955, notice is hereby given that the Disciplinary Committee of the New Zealand Law Society, on the 18th day of February 1976, ordered that Roger Preston Chambers be suspended from practise as a barrister and solicitor, for a period of six months, and further ordered that he shall not practise as a solicitor on his own account whether in partnership or otherwise until authorised by the Disciplinary Committee to do so and further that he pay to the New Zealand Law Society on account of costs the sum of one thousand seven hundred and fifty dollars.

Environmental Impact Report Notified—Featherston County Solid Waste Disposal Sites

THE Commission for the Environment gives notice that it has received an environmental impact report on the proposal to designate land for district solid waste disposal. Representations in writing on the environmental aspects of the project, as it is explained in the report, will be received at the office of the Commission, P.O. Box 12042, Wellington North, until 23 April 1976.

Copies of the report may be obtained from the Featherston County Council. Copies may be seen at the public libraries at Featherston, Masterton, Greytown and Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch or Dunedin or at the libraries of the seven university institutions.

DEFERMENT OF PUBLIC HEARING

  1. The Public Hearing advertised in Notice No. 1 in the New Zealand Gazette, of 15 January 1976, has been postponed and is now scheduled for Tuesday, 29 June 1976. The venue will be as in Notice No. 1 (the Hearing Room, Eighth Floor, Cumberland House, Upper Willis Street, Wellington) and the hearing will commence at 10.30 a.m.

  2. The closing date for the receipt of representations, prepared in accordance with Notice No. 1, will be Friday, 28 May 1976.

Licensing the Northland Harbour Board to Occupy a Site for a Wharf at Limestone Island, Whangarei Harbour

PURSUANT to sections 162 and 265A of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby license and permit the Northland Harbour Board (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of Whangarei Harbour at Limestone Island as shown on plan marked M.D. 2470 and M.D. 3001 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Auckland, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a wharf as shown on the said plans, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960 and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the licence shall be 2 years from the 1st day of March 1975.

(3) The annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be ten cents (10c) payable on demand; provided always that the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said term.
