Dairy Industry Training Council Notice 1976
Pursuant to section 15A of the Vocational Training Council Act 1968, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
-
This notice may be cited as the Dairy Industry Training Council Notice 1976.

There shall be an Industrial Training Board for the Dairy Industry which shall be known as the Dairy Industry Training Council and shall comprise the following members:
(a) Two members appointed by the New Zealand Dairy Board one of whom the New Zealand Dairy Board shall designate as Chairman of the Council.
(b) One member appointed by the New Zealand Dairy Board on the nomination of the New Zealand Dairy Factories Industrial Association of Employers.
(c) One member, who shall be representative of the Town Milk Industry, appointed by the New Zealand Dairy Board on the nomination of the New Zealand Milk Board.
(d) One member appointed by the New Zealand Dairy Board on the nomination of the New Zealand Dairy Factories Industrial Union of Workers.
(e) One member appointed by the New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers Association.
(f) One member appointed by the Vice-Chancellors’ Committee established by section 46 of the Universities Act 1961.
(g) One member appointed by the Director-General of Education.
(h) One member appointed by the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries.
(i) One member appointed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Vocational Training Council.
- (1) The appointed members shall hold office for a period of 3 years, but may from time to time be reappointed.
(2) If any member dies or resigns his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Council of the Chairman or the Secretary thereof, or is absent without leave from three consecutive meetings of the Council, or while holding office becomes for any reason ineligible to remain a member the casual vacancy so created shall be filled as soon as practicable thereafter by the appointment of a member in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed, and the member appointed to fill the vacancy shall hold office for the residue of the term of office of the member whom he replaces.
(3) Unless he sooner vacates his office every appointed member of the Council shall continue in office until his successor comes into office.
(4) The powers of the Council shall not be affected by any vacancy in the membership thereof.
- (1) A deputy member may be appointed, in the same manner as an appointed member, to be the deputy of that member and act in the event of the absence of the member from any meeting or meetings of the Council.
(2) While any person is acting pursuant to subclause (1) of this clause he shall be deemed to be a full member of the Council. The fact that any person so acts shall be sufficient evidence of his authority to do so.

Import Control Exemption Notice 1976
Pursuant to regulation 17 of the Import Control Regulations 1973*, the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby gives notice as follows:
- (a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice 1976.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff items in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce of manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

The exemptions from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the classes set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, included in the exempting notice shown in the Second Schedule, are hereby withdrawn.
