THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of $30 per
calendar year, including postage, payable in advance.
Single copies available as issued.
The price of each Gazette varies and is printed thereon.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening
of each week. Notices from Government departments must
be received by the Gazette Clerk, Department of Internal
Affairs, by noon on Tuesdays. Advertisements will be accepted
by the Government Printer until noon on Wednesdays.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 10c per line.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of
general legislative force are no longer published in the New
Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of
the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing),
subscription $25 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual Volume (including index) bound in buckram.
price on application. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and
1939–42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon.

WELL TYPED, MISS JONES!
The intention of this book is to aid and maintain a good
standard in the preparation of correspondence, memoranda, and
reports. Although this style book was prepared especially for
Government departments, it will help people in other organisa-
tions to set out correspondence, etc., to a good standard.
Overall this publication covers all aspects of layout, except
special typing work such as manuscripts, catalogues and so on,
which have not been included because this type of work is too
varied. Generally jobs of this kind require close liaison between
typist and author.

superior families only, together with other cultural ceremonies
applied to infants of high birth.

The information obtained was contributed by members
of the Ngati-Kahungunu tribe of the North Island.
The text has been retained in its original style in the belief
that these basic studies should still be readily available
without textual alteration.
