Amending an Order in Council Authorising the Construction
of Motorways in the Auckland Regional District

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 20th day
of January 1976
Present:
THE HON. R. D. MULDOON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Public Works Amendment Act
1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of
the National Roads Board, and acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the
Order in Council authorising the construction of motorways,
published in the Gazette of 7 December 1967, No. 80, at page
2207, by omitting from the Schedule the description of the
Auckland South-Eastern Motorway and substituting the follow-
ing Schedule.
SCHEDULE
AUCKLAND SOUTH-EASTERN MOTORWAY
THIS motorway, a continuation of the Grafton Gully-Beach
Road Motorway in the City of Auckland, will start on the
northern side of the Beach Road-Stanley Street intersection
and proceed in a general easterly direction to parallel Tamaki
Drive before crossing Hobson Bay on the east side of the
Auckland-Westfield railway line. It will parallel the railway
line on its east side to the vicinity of Saint Johns Road where
it will cross to the west side and continue to parallel the
railway line on its west side through Mount Wellington
Borough until the Pakuranga Motorway is intersected in the
vicinity of Waipuna Road. From Waipuna Road the motorway
will proceed away from the railway line in a south-westerly
direction to cross the Mount Wellington Highway and intersect
with the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway (S.H.1) on the northern
side of Hamlin's Hill. It will continue in a south-westerly
direction crossing Great South Road in the vicinity of Sylvia
Park Road, turning to follow the northern shoreline of
Manukau Harbour generally into the Borough of Onehunga,
to terminate at its Gloucester Park interchange with State
Highway 20.

Revoking in Part an Order in Council Declaring Land to be a
Motorway in the Borough of Tawa

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 20th day of
January 1976
Present:
THE HON. R. D. MULDOON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Public Works Amendment Act
1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
revokes the Order in Council, dated the 22nd day of December
1954, and published in Gazette, 22 December 1954, Volume III,
at page 2070, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at
Wellington as No. 2391, declaring land to be a motorway,
in so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto,
the land being no longer required for that purpose.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 8.9 perches (225mΒ²), situated
in Blocks II and V, Belmont Survey District, Borough of Tawa,
being part Lots 153 and 164, D.P. 9069; as shown on plan
S.O. 28822 lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at
Wellington and thereon coloured orange.

Warrant Appointing a Conciliator Under the Industrial
Relations Act 1973

PURSUANT to section 63 of the Industrial Relations Act 1973,
I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby appoint
John Harold Bufton
to be a Conciliator of the Industrial Conciliation Service
for a term of 3 years on and from the 2nd day of February
1976.
