Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Northland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Northland Licensing Committee on 8 December 1976 made an order authorising a variation of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further, authorised the following hours of trading for the premises known as the Waitangi Hotel at Paihia;

(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On every Friday and Saturday for the period from 1 May to 30 September (both days inclusive) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On every Friday and Saturday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve) for the period from 1 October to 30 April (both days inclusive) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 11 o’clock in the evening.

(d) On every Christmas Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 11 o’clock in the evening.

(e) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 0.30 o’clock in the morning on New Year’s Day.

PURSUANT to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the South Canterbury Licensing Committee on 9 December 1976 made orders authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further, authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises specified in the Schedule below:

(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On every Friday, Saturday, and Christmas Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 0.30 o’clock in the morning on New Year’s Day.

(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On every Christmas Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing shall be 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 0.30 o’clock in the morning on New Year’s Day.

(d) On every Friday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing shall be 11 o’clock in the evening.

(e) On every Saturday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing shall be 11 o’clock in the evening.

All subject to the condition that the hours as varied from the normal hours shall apply only to the lounge bar of the said premises.
