OPAKI RIDING

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion of the County of Masterton bounded by a line commencing at a point on a right line between Trig Stations I (Mount Dundas) and AA (Arawaru) bearing 297° from Trig Station K (Tawhero) in Block XIII, Tararu S.D. and proceeding generally south-easterly along a right line to that trig station and along the summit of the Tawhero Range to the north-western boundary of Section 9, Block IV, Mikimiki S.D.; thence south-westerly along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Ruamahanga River; thence generally south-easterly down the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 71, Opaki District, in Block VIII, Mikimiki S.D., to and along that boundary and the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of that section to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 69, Opaki District, and along a right line to the westernmost corner of the said Section 69; thence generally easterly along the northern boundary of the said Section 27, Block V, Kopuaranga S.D., the production of the last-mentioned boundary across Jacksons Line, along the eastern side of that road, the northern boundary of Section 70, Opaki District (including the crossing of a road) and its production to the middle of the Kopuaranga River, up the middle of that river to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 51, Rangitumau District, and to and along that boundary to the north-western corner of Section 88, Block V, Kopuaranga S.D.; thence generally southerly along the western boundaries of Sections 88, 86, and 84, Block V, Kopuaranga S.D., the western and southern boundaries of Section 82, Block IX, Kopuaranga S.D., the western and north-western boundaries of Lot 5, D.P. 16469, the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Kopuaranga River, down the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 20, Rangitumau District, to and along that boundary and the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 6335, and its production to the eastern side of the Opaki-Kaiparoro Road, along a right line to and along the north-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 6335, and its production to the middle of the Ruamahanga River; thence westerly along the production of the northern side of No. 52 State Highway (Te Ore Ore Road); thence westerly along the production of the right bank of the Ruamahanga River; thence westerly, and generally northerly and westerly along the boundaries of the Borough of Masterton hereinbefore described to the westernmost corner of Lot 11, D.P. 16823, and along the production of the eastern boundary of the Wellington-Napier Railway to the middle of the Waingawa River; thence north-westerly and north-easterly along the boundaries of the County of Masterton hereinbefore described to the point of commencement.

TE WHITI RIDING

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion of the County of Masterton bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the right bank of the Ruamahanga River and the northern side of No. 52 State Highway (Te Ore Ore Road) and proceeding easterly along the production of the said side to the middle of the Ruamahanga River, along the middle of that river to a point in line with the northern side of No. 52 State Highway and to and along that side to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 5, Taweru District; thence southerly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Tauweru River; thence down the middle of that river and up the middle of the Ruamahanga and Waingawa rivers to a point on the production of the eastern side of the Wellington-Napier Railway; thence northerly along that production to the left bank of the Waingawa River; thence generally south-easterly and north-easterly along the boundaries of the Borough of Masterton hereinbefore described to the point of commencement.

Exemption from the Restrictions as to Lamps on Police Vehicles

PURSUANT to regulation 25A of the Traffic Regulations 1956* the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts from the requirement of regulation 34 (4) of the said regulations vehicles operated by the New Zealand Police to the effect that they may be fitted with one or more flashing or revolving blue lights for use only while on urgent police business.

National Roads Board—Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 8 December 1976, and pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of No. 1 State Highway (Awamui-Bluff) from its junction with Moffats Road to its junction with Pine Valley Road, Silverdale, as more particularly shown on sheets 1 and 2 of Plan LA 10/23/1 and accompanying schedule, held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Auckland, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.
