The Road Classification (Manawatu County) Notice No. 1, 1976

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Manawatu County) Notice No. 1, 1976.
  2. The Manawatu County Council’s proposed classification of the road, as set out in the Schedule hereto, is hereby approved.
  3. So much of the notice, dated the 20th day of July 1972†, which relates to the classification of the road, described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby revoked.

MANAWATU COUNTY

Roads Classified in Class One

Kawa Kawa Road: from its junction with the Feilding-Awahuri Road to a point 2.32 kilometres measured north-easterly generally along the said road from the said junction.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds under the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 in the County of Dannevirke (No. 1566 Ag. 12/10/4/2)

PURSUANT to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Act 1953, for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following special order, made by the Dannevirke County Council on the 12th day of October 1976 is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT, pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following weeds are declared to be noxious weeds within the area of the Dannevirke County and that previous separate noxious weeds declarations by the Akito and Dannevirke Counties be hereby cancelled:

Barley grass (Hordeum murinum).
Bathurst bur (Xanthium spinosum).
Barberry (Berberis vulgaris).
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Cape tulip (Homeria collina).
Common broom (Cytisus scoparius).
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare).
Gorse (Ulex any species).
Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha and Crataegus monogyna).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Johnson grass (Sorghum halepense).
Nodding thistle (Carduus nutans).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
Star thistle (Centaurea calcitrapa).
Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubinginosa).
Variegated thistle or milk thistle (Silybum marianum).
Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes).

Plant Declared a Noxious Weed Within the County of Kiwitea (No. 1565 Ag. 12/10/3)

PURSUANT to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Act 1953, for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following Special Order, made by the Kiwitea County Council on the 20th day of October 1976 is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Kiwitea County Council hereby resolves by way of special order that the plant named thorn apple or jimson weed (Datura stramonium) be, and is hereby, declared to be a noxious weed within the district of the County of Kiwitea.

Thorn apple or jimson weed (Datura stramonium).
